The first few pages will be filled with complaints about Spotify and AM crashing cause of the hype :ryan3:

oh but I know for a fact the rest of this site will be full of threads made by OTHs :coffee:

full of complaints why everything is always about Taylor while making threads about her

What I plan to do so far is to listen to it alone and by myself, not on ATRL. I don't want to do immediate reaction and have a bit of time to really make my own opinion without any influence from other people.

Then I'll get back, share my opinion, and then I'll just read through everything. I asked for a day off on Friday so I'll have the time. I really like reading people's opinion to confront them if needed and see other perspective on what's the meaning of the song.

I actually prefer reading people rewiewing the album fully in 1 post, even if it's track by track. Separate meltdowns for opening track, however are fun too

I'm more annoyed by the fans that have already decided the album is bad without even hearing anything and that will spend the entire first day posting 650 messages akin to "**** Jack", "where is folkmore", "she lost it", "I'm tired of her" in this thread, because they are miserable and can't accept that other people don't want to be miserable with them.

It's obvious OTH will be making threads about how the album is bad, but it's whatever.

A "constructed" review of the album is always the most interesting to read I agree. But I also like to read one shot thoughts about the songs as people are going through the album because I also find value in first impression, and more generally the overall thoughts of people.

I just know for me I want to experience this album and take the time to really give it a proper listen without being influenced by "the outside world" if that makes sense. Reading everyone either gushing or having a meltdown immediately after Midnights' release kinda tainted my listening experience at first. I was like "why do they love this? am I missing something?" or "how come people are criticizing this? this is genius".

I don't want that this time. It's going to be me, the album and the lyrics and I'll probably only come here to share my opinion a few hours after.

Immediate and collective reaction to the Taylor's Version however is the most fun experience possible.

can someone share their experience on how to deal with it? do you really sit and read all of it, or just post your opinions and go?

So I post my opinion/reaction track by track as I'm listening, as well. I try my best to keep up with everyone else that is doing the same in real time, but it really is impossible to catch everything—and that's okay. I will have the weekend off, so at some point I'll take time to read/skim through what I've missed. I don't feel any pressure, though; if I miss something, I miss it. We'll all be talking about the album 24/7 as it is—the conversations will come back around again and again that first weekend.

I lowkey hope someone is randomly going to do Midnights review track by track amidst all the other opinions on TTPD

I will be avoiding this thread like the plague until at least after my third full listen, no way I'm letting the screeching in here ruin my experience

She going to serve Cvnty Psycho on this one I fear. In general I also have a feeling she'll debut an alter ego on this album :jonnycat:

I need to at least do 2 listens first. I won't get all the lyrics on first listen and I need to look at the lyrics on the second one.

It's either that or the most heartbreaking song about how she fears she'll never find someone that wants to be with her. I'm here for both options.
