Isn't Hack a confirmed producer on this?:rip: All he knows how to do is noisy synthpop so idk what y'all are expecting in terms of genre:rip:

Even if you aren't aware of his vast body of work with other artists (NFR, Daddy's Home, Gaslighter, Sling, quite a bit of his own Bleachers work, etc) I still don't know how you came to this conclusion bc Tay/Jack have lots of non-“noisy" synthpop songs :deadbanana2:

Gold Rush? My Tears Ricochet? This Is Me Trying? Illicit Affairs? The Lakes? Mirrorball? August? Timeless? I Can See You? Castles Crumbling? Lover? Paper Rings? False God? + the rest of his productions on the Fearless and Red vaults that I'm too lazy to name because I think I've made my point

The people still suffering from Midnights Derangement Syndrome are committed to sucking all the fun out of this album cycle, huh? :suburban:

The last time she dropped a pre release single before abandoning them altogether? Loser.

That monstrosity of an album is always at the scene of the crime.

One day she will atone for her sins.

I kinda hope the all caps title is a mistake and will change back, it makes no sense with the soft satin imagery and the muted colors etc, highkey all lowercase would fit best in my opinion :deadbanana4:

Still don't understand why y'all keep saying this. You're in for a huge shock if you think people won't eat this up even more than Midnights if it's not quite as ‘pop'. If anything, it having more real instruments and being alt-inspired would make it smash harder.

:suburban:

im conservative when it comes to predictions and i dont wanna set my sis up even though every time she proves me wrong

that being said longevity wise it definitely wont be as good as midnights

Did she ever explain why reputation, folklore and evermore are all lowercase? It might explain why this one is all caps.

As I said already… usually the names of departments are in all caps - for example on stamps or on the doors so it makes total sense aesthetically

reading this when you said it earlier made me enjoy it a bit more, even though I prefer lower case titles. it adds to the concept and i'm here for it :clap3:

My theory is that this was her real intended shot at a 4th AOTY, which is why she announced it at the Grammys, reminding the voters to check it out:cupid:

All of her first 3 AOTY's debuted a new genre of Taylor to the world (country, pop, alternative, r̶o̶c̶k̶). All of them had 2 albums in between (SN/Red, rep/Lover, evermore/M̶i̶d̶n̶i̶g̶h̶t̶s̶).

I really don't believe she expected to win for Midnights.

As usual, she's her own worst competition these days:clap3:

I always assumed folklore and evermore are because they're fictional albums (and there songs titles are all lowercase too) and reputation is because “There will be no further explanation / There will just be reputation.” and she felt like it didn't need to be because of her reputation at the time.

Exactly, I'm not sure how people aren't getting this

Btw, I'm truly in love with the aesthetics this era.

The gold bookmarks, the novel-like cover framing, the typeset, the achromatic color scheme...this is a DREAM to me.

It's her best by far :clap3:

Hopefully we can say the same about the music. The potential is there :gaycat3:

Let just hope the music lives up to the aesthetics...... because god knows MIDnights did not

The more I look into the cover, the more I get synth pop mixed with jazz and r&b vibes from the record. It doesn't scream soft rock in the slightest, at least to me

Anti-Hero, Midnight Rain, YOYOK... that's IT. Say Don't Go clears the rest when it comes to matching the vibes.......

Because they're too busy trying to figure out how the all caps is actually an easter egg, and how it connects to previous albums, when it's literally just an aesthetic choice.

What all needs to be done for the affected parties to heal from the Midnights photoshoot? How can we support you to health?

Are the Bey stans complaining about the all caps title in their thread or is it just a mental illness thing exclusive to this base.......?

Tbh I was melting down at the thought of it being stylized in all caps but I kinda like how it looks. It's very eye-catching. Not saying I prefer it over normal capitalization, but I don't hate it like I was fearing.
