ttpd is a different theme- and pop is kind of a general genre, could sound like anything

idk if anyone already pointed this out but The Manuscript is NOT on the tracklist on AM, which means it's not in the "standard version" and we are not getting it on the 19th on streaming

wasn't it already assumed we wouldn't be getting The Manuscript, The Bolter, The Albatross and The Black Dog on streaming upon release date? The deluxe is going to look so ugly with all the tracks starting with The

well since The Manuscript was sort of announced as the standard version some people thought that meant that we would be getting that track on streaming with the rest of the album on the 19th

I mean…she went through a lot during 2023: a breakup, the highs of Eras tour, a messy situationship, and now Travis/the NFL.

She has enough material for 2 albums. Also, if she does TS11/12 this year, that frees TS13 for her 20th anniversary (which is on a Friday).

Isn’t Hack a confirmed producer on this?:rip: All he knows how to do is noisy synthpop so idk what y’all are expecting in terms of genre:rip:

I’m not even the biggest fan of Jack but the way some of yall just ignore entire chunks of Taylor’s discography to make this point :suburban:

I believe TTPD is a breakup album, while TS12 is a love album, reflecting very different themes. It's possible Taylor Swift worked with the TTPD producers on TS12, making them sister albums in a sense. A bit like Folkmore.

Yeah the all caps is obnoxious, maybe it'd be better if it was just one (short) word but... :rip:

Not the ALL CAPS title

I wonder if i should listen to the Clean versions first, becuz once I get used to the Explicit, it's kinda hard to go back. Eventhough her 80% of her Clean versions are better lyrically.

Most of my fave titles being explicit tho :jonny5: go AWF. I Can Fix Him is the only one that isn't.

TTPD, & But Daddy are my most anticipated tracks now :jonny5: I claim But Daddy I Love Him as my #1 most anticipated.

Same. It reads like an old school faculty department building. All-caps. They just don't see the vision. :clap3:

Because it is an angry pop punk rock album and she is shouting at us :ryan3:

Debating over capitalization and grammar mechanics, it was bad for us.

Yeah the Red era pre-release singles were perfect. I wish we could have one more era with weekly promo singles. She could easily score a lot of #1s

I kinda want this for TS12 if it's more of a love album that isn't super deep (like I expect this one to be). This album being all-at-once again makes sense, because I expect it to tell a proper story.

She can sacrifice 10M from the Spotify debut next time around to have like 3-4 #1 songs :eli:

Isn't it wild that 22 was such a huge cultural phenomenon that is STILL being referenced to this day, but only peaked at #20 on Billboard Hot 100

Goes to show that charts isn't everything!

Yes, 22 is a classic. Enchanted and Don't Blame Me are also a very good indication that chart success isn't everything.

Oh I 100% agree with y'all, it's such a classic despite not having a great OG run. With that said though, I do think it's important to note that the streaming era has totally changed the game. All 3 of those examples (moreso DBM/Enchanted but also 22 applies) are such classics and it does show in the streams, which are monstrous. They aren't traditional Hot 100/radio hits but they are still hits at this point with how well they have done on streaming.

Idk if I concisely explained my point but I just mean that, while 100% true chart success isn't everything, the streaming era has changed things and these classics are actually as consumed as some of her smash hits.

OT: I hope The Tortured Poets Department has multiple viral tracks, we need like 5 Midnight Rains/YOYOKs streaming-wise :ryan3:

Honestly, when Taylor swears it's a heavenly experience. Nothing though will top the imagery that lives in my head of Taylor in the recording studio shouting “****!” into her mic
