Life Savers Posted March 18 Posted March 18 (edited) All of Taylor's albums post Red are pop (and Speak Now honestly verges frequently into pop rock). What were some of you expecting? The tag doesn't say much, there could be alt influences (like Folkmore but, again, still pop) or synth pop like Midnights but we won't know until it's here. Edited March 18 by Life Savers
ATRL Moderator bluebirdsforever Posted March 18 ATRL Moderator Posted March 18 Were some of y'all expecting it to be labelled as "rock" or something? I need you to be serious Even if the album sounded exactly like folkmore it still wouldn't be labelled alternative bcause that was a branding exercise for her more than anything else 2

Migs30283 Posted March 18 Posted March 18 TTPD might be my favorite album replacing folklore hopefully
touch Posted March 18 Posted March 18 I actually think what’s more interesting here is that the title is in all caps 1

KatyPrismSpirit Posted March 18 Posted March 18 This is her Bedtime Stories for sure. R&B pop. Not the title being all caps, i love it tho. Whats that “All’s fair in love and poet…” thing on the iTunes pre order? A trailer?
TaylorNation Posted March 18 Posted March 18 BREAKING: new album from pop artist is categorized as pop 5
Migs30283 Posted March 18 Posted March 18 With TTPD album being all caps, it might have a potential chance to be the first album with all caps to win AOTY at the Grammys next year since Billie Eilish's WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? last 2020. 5

Midnights was pretty much bang on a month before from memory so it looks like she's following the same rollout to the letter Hopefully that also means we can expect promotional content (whatever that means) to kick off in a few days 1
