1989 Posted March 14 Posted March 14 Me! is actually a great video, you just have to watch it on mute. Like, she looked beautiful and some of the scenes are actually gorgeous. Lover is not a bad video, either. No excuse for YNTCD and The Man, though. 2

The fact that she said in her grammy speech that shotlisting music videos makes her so happy confirms that there's gonna be at least 3 videos. Also doesn't her website has a panel for her directed projects??? kinda makes me feel like there's going to be a new short film. The reason 1989 tv didn’t get videos is obviously bc she was working on the TTPD videos 1

To be fair, The Man was always going to flop due to timing. Good video or not, it was never going to survive the COVID shut down. Only the songs that were already big (Blinding Lights, Say So, Don’t Start Now, etc) were going to survive, as radio didn’t want to let go of anything at that time.
Redstreak Posted March 14 Posted March 14 Prediction: will non-bonus track TTPD be over or under an hour

I remember sitting in a hallway (and skipping class) at my uni spamming it over and over and over and over because we had the VEVO record to break I could still tell you exactly where the 30 second mark is in the video 5

I'd die if we end up with a song longer than Dear John, as Taylor's longest song with a runtime that wasn't inflated to meet a talk show talking point from 2012 1

Etsy-core "**** the patriarchy" keychains were a thing back then, and it wouldn't surprise me if Jake had one. Now I have significant doubts as to the origins of "never-needy, ever-lovely jewel" and really that entire fourth verse, because while it was possibly some idea she had floating around, it was phrased in a way that 2011 Taylor never would have. 1

That’s basic knowledge. It was never a recorded demo like the rest.
leo in saint tropez Posted March 14 Posted March 14 is it true that audios from the eras will be available on audiostreaming platforms tonight?

I remember being away for a regional competition, and the MV premiered right as I woke up to get ready for the exam. I watched it, expressionless, then closed YouTube and went on with my day. A trauma response, I think. Story time. My best friend since 2011 was always just a casual Taylor fan. He enjoyed some Taylor songs here and there but mostly kept up with her -through me.- Fast forward to 2017/2018, he literally becomes a stan overnight thanks to reputation. He is so hyped for her next release and for the first time ever, we are on the same level of engagement with her music & career. So you can imagine our anticipation when she announced the start of a new era, accompanied by a lead single & music video. My best friend asks if I’d want to watch the video premiere together, I agree, not knowing what was in store. We literally drive into the city, buy snacks, park the car, and open up YouTube to the countdown. The timer is ticking down and our anticipation is sky high. 3. 2. 1. We watch the ME! video. The video ends. We both sit in silence. After years of hyping Taylor to him and him finally deciding to give her a chance on the level of a stan, she releases a crock pot of horse sh*t. Needless to say he has downgraded back into a regular fan of -some- of her output but not all. I was so humiliated, it’s like telling someone your dog can do a really cool trick and then the dog just stares blankly at you when you try to make them do it in front of your friend. 8
