The way I knew someone would quote me with Somebody Else. Well its a cute song, but she can save the synthpop for TS14

Lets not pretend she's not already writing for TS14 though :ryan3:

All those studio sessions this summer were for TS13, and girlie has a lot to say about the new man :giraffe:

In my mind, the perfect scenario for Taylor was to release the two TV's left, finish the tour as some sort of victory lap and then take a hiatus, a very well deserved break and come back late 2025.

Releasing another album bothers my OCD. What is going to happen with the Eras tour? Are we adding a new segment? Are we replacing one? What is going to happen with the other two TV's, is she going to release them this year at all? Will it be 3 albums in a year? So many questions.

Of course that is just my opinion and personal "issue" and Miss Swift can do whatever she wants, perched to see what sound she will be working with. Hopefully no more Jack.

The fact that this is possible, if she was working on THIS album two years ago.. :skull:

TS13 might be thee most important/anticipated album of her entire career. I really wonder what she's cooking for it tbh. Part of me believes she'll "disappear" a bit after the re-recordings/tour/this album but I also said that about Midnights and here we are.

I am choosing to believe it's fake :giraffe:

I went down in the rabbit hole and hopped from Clara Bow to Babylon (2022) to Justin Hurwitz. And now I would love a song produced by him. Unfortunately Taylor seem stuck and not able to move on to new producers. And it would really be weird if he produced anything because he's film composer, but it would also be delightful and it would fit the album cover.

I hope we get a single before the album this time.

they were recording TTPD’s track 5 on this day, I fear :jonny5:

We kind of stan even harder than ever bc tbh her voice on tracks like Lostmyhead, Somebody Else, It’s Not Living, I’m In Love With You, etc etc etc would be HEAVEN, literally a spiritual religious experience - we just have to hope that you know who himself isn’t personally involved

What if it serves Her other recent ex, the INCOMPARABLE not-at-all-nepo-credits-bf William Bowery

I really think she's having too much fun with this, and her creative flow is firing on all cylinders. I don't think she wants to slow the momentum until she has to, even to the point that I don't think she'll ever vanish for an effective return cause she doesn't need it

Spoiler

The only thing at this point that miiiiiiiight make her take some time away would be a pregnancy, but even then she'd probably just find all sorts of inspiration in motherhood and then put an album out a few months after :deadbanana4:

My prediction for the next few months:

Taylor milks the Super Bowl for all it is worth (notice how it's conveniently one week after She announces an album), goes back on tour, then in April Tree leaks breakup news (or at least rumors) due to "distance" just in time to promote TTPD release

If the upcoming album sounds anything like The 1975 I’m going to pretend it’s a mixtape and wait for the real TS11.

2024: TS11 in April and TS (TV) in November+ 85 tour dates

2025: Around the Superbowl performance make it all about REP TV and release it soon after. Than you have earned yourself a big break after 150 tour dates, a Superbowl and 5 albums+6 re-recordings.

I was discussing the grammys after my uni class today and this girl in the other study room walked over and started talking to us. At first it was just normal Taylor Swift banter "Did you see her album announcement last night." But then she just started going down this rabbit hole of easter eggs talking about the April release date, something about 2 years ago the same date something about Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, Joe Alwyn and Paul pascal, and more random stuff that just made me more confused.

Yall go crazy over the easter egg stuff but it was insane to witness it IRL. A true "just smile and nod" moment

Putting the fact that I'm not a big fan of their music aside, I honestly feel like following up Midnights with a The 1975-esque album would be kinda samey :rip: I'm sure she's aware that this album has incredible hype and all eyes are on her right now, so I expect hope for at least a lil switch sonically

True. Knowing her she would really drop an album mid pregnancy and another one after the baby is born :dies:

The only way I would worry about backlash is if it affects the narrative/ reception of the new album.

I want it to be a marriage between Take A Bow from Madonna and Wuthering Heights from Kate

Spoiler

I don't want another pop album, I want some thick layered narratives and 15 minutes songs

Exactly. I think it’s clear she just doesn’t want to stop making music right now. The scary thing is, she can still get married and have children all while releasing music, which is exactly what I think will happen. The touring will stop (but I’ve said before that I don’t see her touring after Eras is finished for a while anyway), but there’s nothing stopping her from recording and releasing except herself—and given her work ethic, that is an absolutely insane thought. :deadbanana2:

She discovered she can do Eras tours. Not every album will get a tour, which gives her freedom to release as much as she wants. She can even do that from home with 3 children. And yeah, she's only getting better and she loves her job.

She would be recording new album at home in that situation let's be real :dies:

Yea, I always took her "I'm never going to stop doing this" comment to be about making music and not necessarily the touring/traveling/promoting aspect that a lot of other fans did.

She literally can't function without making music, it's just part of her soul. But she can do that from anywhere and at anytime, so we'll be getting material from her for years.

We are so blessed. :wanda:

If every song sounded like the 1989 (TV) bonus tracks, I would be happy.

Those are my most played Taylor songs atm.

Please, an album where the average song length is well over 4 minutes :ryan3:
