You know what… I actually think they did the 1989 vaults before Midnights and that was what shaped Midnights. It would make sense.

The album sounds formless and constantly calls back to all of her previous albums cause she was re-recording her older music. That's why some of the Suburban Legends melody can be seen in Mastermind.

Isn’t this like the third show it’s been featured on? :rip:

Finally someone with common sense, whew. I’ve said this from the very first day 1989 TV dropped :rip:

Also, I don’t know why people are incapable of viewing the vault tracks from a nuanced standpoint. As well as everyone seemingly misunderstanding the point of them. They’re not meant to be exact recreations of whatever the demos were, nor are they meant to slot directly into the original album. They’re essentially ‘new’ songs, many of them updated either somewhat or entirely. But some lyrics being changed, production being remixed, etc. doesn’t change that they were originally written and conceptualized way back in the day.

On the topic of vaults, I hope TTPD doesn’t ever get any “vault” tracks released in the coming year. I don’t like YLM being tagged as such, it is messy and out of place :rip:

There's nothing messy in YLM being a vault track. When she released it on CDs, everyone said "There's no sence, it's not from the vault, you just wrote it after the Midnights came out". But when Jack said that it was written in December 2021, suddenly it all makes sence. She wrote YLM even before she finished other songs that were put on the album, but this one she rejected, cause she wasn't sure if they will broke up (and if they don't, this song would be a massive public stain on their relationship). Also, it's obvious that she shared her writing process with Joe, but this song she probably hasn't showed him and kept it locked on Jack's USB. But when they broke up and there was no sence in keeping this song a secret, she released and marked it as FTV, which really makes sence, since You're Losing Me perfectly represents the meaning of a Vault track.

deuxmoi has no sources for taylor. deuxmoi kept on repeating fanfiction about taylor and joe being secretly married.

Yea she might’ve had a some lines for suburban legends in 2013/14 but no way was she writing “You had people who called you on unmarked numbers. In my peripheral vision I let it slide like a hose on a slippery plastic summer”

That is just not how any of her lyrics sounded around that time

:deadbanana2: ended everyone trying to claim otherwise with ease

Oh, imagine the complex feeling of her when she had to break up with Matt  she was probably still in love with him

He took her to the Rhodeo Haven where she met Sophie and The Gang and she Gaslighted her into thinking she loves him and they went to Cross Kern when one of the gang drowned (hence the Killer)

Eh, I get the point of it being labeled a vault track, but I feel like the whole vault/etc branding should be reserved for the Taylor’s Versions project. Either that or keep things cohesive, because AOTGYLB for example isn’t labeled as a vault track, when it should be (if she’s labeling songs outside of the TVs project as vaults too). The extra tags just look messy aesthetically on a normal album, to me.

It’s not like it’s a big deal either way though, just a small thing for me that I hope isn’t repeated on this album.

Obviously untrue in the first place since it’s Deuxmoi, but maybe they meant to say 0? I could get behind that claim a lot more

I’ve found it’s easier to just go with her random flow and pretend it all makes sense

Do you guys have an idea when the vinyl drops on retail sites? I have them preordered but quite mad I have to pay 60 EUR in shipping because I ordered it in 3 orders and would like to cancel and order from the same place.

I hope it’s just like 1989TV. They put all the vinyls and special editions for sale for a week and i was able to cancel the other orders and put them all together

I wonder is there a meaning behind her laying in bedsheets on the cover, or is it just made for vulnerable aesthetic

It's her erotica. We want this and not lyrics like "my peripheric vision of abstract love could make my ethereal exprience of you something i could not experience in a substract way".
