Doubt it. The whole "file name" and theme must have some kind of promo attached to them. I also suspect she may try to break Adele's record with this, so things will probably start getting intense closer to the release date.

I mean, we don't know the amount of pre-orders, but she'd need something like 2.5M of those at a minimum to have a chance at breaking Adele's record. This is not happening.

What's coming on March 15 is the Eras Tour live album. I can feel it in my bones.

More likely is she’s going to release the lead single to TTPD.

She's not coming anywhere close to Adele's record, let's put that dream aside right now. :deadbanana2:

SEA units at best will be 500-550k, so she'd need almost 3M (!) in pure sales to come close to the first week number of '25' (3.48M units). She's not going to almost triple her pure sales from 'Midnights'/'1989 (TV)'… :gaycat6:

I think the absolute ceiling for 'TTPD' is something in the low 2M region, and even that sounds like a reach to me idk.

Is that rumor about the album being more sensual like False God true?

Because I kinda was expecting a really sad one :(

As far as I remember, Taylor’s pure sale debuts usually end up being around double of what the pre-orders were, meaning half her sales come from stores throughout the week. She’d therefore need ~1.5 million pre-orders to have a chance at breaking the record, imo. I don’t think it’s possible at all, but interesting to see how far she can go.

Simply put, there is absolutely nothing confirmed about anything regarding the album except:

- the tracklist

- that she needed to write this album

We don't know the sound, we don't know the vibe, we don't know the track length, we don't know the producers, we don't know the lyrics...

Ye i think it's not happening either, but she could still try. Adele was on every imaginable tv show and late night show on the planet for her promo cycle. Blondie can't rely on word of mouth alone if she wants to see bigger numbers. Plus she needs to give the GP a heartbreak intrigue. So ye, unless she starts doing extraordinary promo for this I don't see her getting anywhere close to that number

Breaking Adele’s record is not achievable and just unnecessary. Taylor has like 90% of BB209 records let other artist have some…she has already proved to be bigger than Adele

She’s not breaking Adele’s record (and that’s fine, if she does 2M something in 2024 that’s literally just as if not more impressive lol) but she’s definitely doing 2M even if it just barely scrapes it. I know it’s easy to lowball her but if a ******* rerecord did 1.7M, this is at least breaking 2M. Come on yall :snowball:

TaylorNation back at it again with the 2 nonsense. Imagine how tired we are

Can y'all stop setting her up with that Adele nonsense. You'll have trolls on here threading it and every other outlandish prediction y'all make to deem this a flop. :deadbanana2:

I feel like they’re actually the biggest trolls… they probably see something that we all get attached to and think- yeah let’s get them all riled up

Ya'll know that Adele's record was set when Billboard rules were different, right? :suburban:

About tour she is not going to quit a whole section but she can quit easily:

- The archer. The golden curtain can be just start at the end of lover(song) and connect with Fearless.

- ‘Tis the damm season. She can start directly with willow. Indeed it will be more impactful. In evermore she also could cut Marjorie but as is dedicated to her grandma she may decide to keep it while tour.

- In folklore she can quit the 1, Betty or the last great American dinasty. Maybe two of them. I hope she keeps TLGAD because is one of my faves and have a cute performance.

- From 1989 I feel wildest dreams could say goodbye. It is also one of my faves so…

- From midnights mastermind feels the most possible.

Quiting 5-6 and adding 5-6 of TTPD and also give the other tracks priority in the surprise songs

Right. Merch bundles, was sold at stores like J C Penny's and Krogers and other grocery stores. Was sold for 3.99 when Google Play music store still existed, etc. :rip:

no truly let's NOT remove one of her best songs from tour

Posted

For her to reach some crazy numbers she’d need to make the “exclusive limited” covers available in every store, which I’m sure she would, but that would make her look like a clown again for tricking us

Posted

Would she risk pissing off a portion of her fans who saw the tour before the change? Like I literally saw her the week before she added Long Live.

Though, I forgave her cause she literally gave me my top two songs from evermore as surprise songs. :deadbanana2:

I honestly think she'll come out with a target edition and "exclusive" cds with the posters like she did for 1989TV since it seems like the same rollout.
