Taylor Swift - 'THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT'

I feel like she will include a 'TTPD' section for the European and 2nd US/Canada leg of the tour. :lakitu:

It just makes too much sense from a marketing POV to promote her brand new studio album on tour (which has basically become her main promotional tool these days), especially for the US/Canada shows later in the year, which will promote 'TTPD' during the lucrative holiday season and serve as some form of Grammy campaigning at the same time

The question is: What will she cut?

I doubt she'll just add new songs without cutting anything, cause the show probably is already as long as it can be, and cutting individual songs from different sections will also be hard, cause the setlist is strategic in its flow and with how it alternates between slower and more uptempo songs, giving her sufficient time to recover in-between songs and the dancers and crew behind-the-stage enough time to prepare the next costumes and props.

So I personally feel like the easiest way to include 'TTPD' on the tour as its own section (if that's indeed what will happen) is to simply cut out another section entirely. :lakitu: and 'evermore' seems the most likely candidate for that to me for some reason… :gaycat6:

I don't see anyone talking about The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived, like is it gonna about Joe not being well endowed or is she going to humiliate him because he once made her look small and didn't let her bejeweled???

Didn't someone (I think @Klein) speculate it could be classic Swiftian tongue-in-cheek, & be about the 6'5 Travis.

I like that theory more than her dragging Toe, but i also wouldn't mind her dragging Toe :gaycat3:

The focus is mainly on her last 4 albums (Lover, folklore, evermore, and Midnights), but now that she's toured for a whole year without adjusting the setlist (except for some minor changes here and there) and the film is available to watch worldwide, there's no reason for her to continue the tour with those four albums as her main focus when she can easily treat TTPD as her main focus and cut 1-2 songs off of the other four sections

Dear Reader is one of the only songs that felt true to the nocturnal ruminations~ concept

the songs she can cut off cause they are not nothing special or different from other moments in terms of performance (and are not hits you can't delete) etc... are

- the archer (even if the final of the song is linked with the previews of the fearless set, so she should change something for this

- tis the damn season

- invisible string/the 1

- the last great american dinasty

i think a proof from european leg something could change is: the release of the movie on 15th March. Yeah I know she already released that last october but people going to watch it at the cinemas were for the 90% fans. On disney plus there are 150M people of any kind can watch it. So i think it's like the definitive version of something from next european leg will be different*. Obviously the 80% of the show is gonna be the same.

*the eras tour -definitive version -from european vault dates -taylor version + exclusive performance + 5 surprise songs coming on Netflix on february 2025 :ihype:

Don't know if I worded that, but I'm 100% in the team of TSMWEL being about Travis since the begining. It's just too funny to not be the case. :dies:

i wish she had never posted the midnights prologue

there's a million ways you can stay up at night other than self loathing

and she proved it with the album even with songs like bejeweled

Doubt it. The whole "file name" and theme must have some kind of promo attached to them. I also suspect she may try to break Adele's record with this, so things will probably start getting intense closer to the release date.
