Fortunately, Jack had the last laugh on Lover as Cruel Summer kinda became the biggest song in her discography. Oh would you look at that, Jack producing two very different classics (CS and Lover song) for her...but they told me all his songs sound the same! They'll never make me hate the producer of August Edited March 5 by Mandalore 8 1 2
Maroon legacy Posted March 5 Posted March 5 People who are now whining about rep tv will cry later this year about how they love TTPD and would sell their souls to listen to it for the first time again. The true magnum opus is upon us!!! 2
MidnightsAtPeace Posted March 5 Posted March 5 (edited) Hear me out, a music video for Clara Bow in which she is portraying a mid-20s singer/actress rocking thin and downward eyebrows, 20s heart-shaped lips and all the other prominent features that can be given to a flapper. And as the video progresses, she can slowly move back to the present and kinda connect the dots and in a way compare her own life to Clara Bow's or her character's in the video. While the 20s parts of the video are sepia and the present parts are in colors. Edited March 5 by MidnightsAtPeace 3

I was too butthurt about Now That We Don't Talk not getting the attention this one got that I never followed its chart run. It's been very below the radar, but it's had a reasonably consistent Hot 100 run (it's been top 20 since Christmas) and I hear it on the radio basically every day The streams aren't... setting any records, but I'd say it's reached a similar level of cultural permeation as, say, Karma.

Not bad to be honest I certainly don't expect vault tracks to do anything on the charts so the fact that it turned into a medium sized hit is a surprise 1

Similar to “Could’ve followed my fears all the way down” in TIMT. Her s*icidal pen is so powerful. I agree. I think we will. I wonder if Frank/ Louis will be producing more than just one track/ if it will be the single. 1
19SLAYty9 Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Kind of insane that now Jack has produced her 2 biggest hits… CS & AH. We know frank, Louis, Aaron, and Jack are on the album. I wonder if the tea from 6 months ago by deuzmoi about her working with new producers is true 1

19SLAYty9 Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Also kind of insane that now she has so many legit hits it would be hard to choose a Super Bowl set list 2

Also, for being not huge, it's done remarkably well at thriving somewhere in the public consciousness well under Cruel Summer.

It was everywhere on there, discussions about its subject etc. I'm kinda worried for the missed opportunities that will face TTPD if this Tiktok ban isn't lifted Not necessarily for a song to go viral but because it's THE app that carries pop culture discourse especially new music releases. Oh I have a feeling she'll put up an unofficial live cover™ or endorse one of the fan-made sped/slowed versions of the chosen lead to circumvent the UMG issues if they haven't been resolved by April 1

Bartender Posted March 5 Posted March 5 (edited) here's how i see it April 2024: TTPD September 2024: Rep TV (to compensate for not originally releasing it on an even number year) March 2025: Debut TV (around the same time Fearless TV was released to close the rerecords chapter) sometime 2025: Eras Tour/Rerecords documentary or docu-series or she just takes a break until TS12 2026: TS12 + Superbowl Edited March 5 by Bartender

Is it Over Now just hit #1 on pop radio. It will likely get dropped hard now that that's achieved but it was a proper radio smash. 1
