And wasn't it just some random radio host speculating, not actual hints from her? This ***** probably saw that in the news, & decided then that she'd torture us in the next release When people have meltdowns on April 19th because there's no 3AM edition 1
folkloreking Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Pulling a folkmore 2.0 with TS12 also scheduled for this year makes sense if she wants to finish the TVs in 2025, then celebrate 20 years of career with the highly significant 13th album. She’s been very unpredictable since 2020, so for now I’m just gonna relax and wait for TTPD. 6
Arrows Posted March 5 Posted March 5 9 hours ago, =NEX= said: I think TTPD will probably her peak opening sales for several reasons: - We're in the peak or slightly past the peak of Taylormania (I'd say the Superbowl was the peak) - A very noticeable fatigue has started kicking in from the general public and even casuals started hating on her all over the social media. - She's putting bonus tracks on each edition for the first time, which will boost the sales. If she attempts it again it will have diminishing returns. - This will be her first brand new album since the start of Taylormania. The next one won't have as much novelty factor. - She's out of a 6 year relationship and she's dating a famous hunk. Everyone is here for the gossip and they might look for it on this album. The next album won't have the same set of major events surrounding it. Everyone thought Midnights would be her absolute peak, that she would never top 1989’s debut, she’d never get a million sales again after Rep, and everything post-Lover would be a decline. You just never know with Taylor. 6
Maroon legacy Posted March 5 Posted March 5 (edited) Even if there's a second album coming this year, it's not dropping before the autumn EDIT: and I doubt that she would hint at it before the ttpd release Edited March 5 by Maroon legacy
Asparagus Spears Posted March 5 Posted March 5 I’ve always said I think we’d get a new album this year. It seems to be this might be a depressing record to hear just going off the tracklist and I think it would make total sense to then get the opposite of poets and maybe because now she’s in love again we might get a light and fluffy lover 2.0 maybe this year or once the re recordings are over with. it makes total sense she’d finish the tour with TS13 1
Maroon legacy Posted March 5 Posted March 5 For everyone who believes in double album being released on april 19, you're totally RIGHT! Here's the tracklist for both abums: ALBUM 1: The Tortured 1. They won’t ever be her most important album buyers, but they could be very useful to secure those massive streaming debuts. With all the focus from football, the “serious” aesthetic, the sexy pose on the cover and a possible rock/alt/pop sound (but with more energy than folkmore), Poets should expand her audience. Not to mention the Post Malone feature and kinda “masculine” song titles 3
campelo Posted March 5 Posted March 5 I cant wait for her to remove the surprise songs act to add songs from this album
Fama Posted March 5 Posted March 5 She will of course release album ✌️on May ✌️, ✌️ weeks after TTPD. jk but also not Tbh I think she finished TTPD in August 2023. And it's possible she got inspired when she met Travis and she started to work on TS12 right afterwards. We will see what happens, but I do think the ✌️is sus. 1
Magickarp Posted March 5 Posted March 5 What if it's actually 2^2 = 4 She did ✌️, on the ✌️nd night, standing on top^ of a stage. Notice how 13 = 1+3 = 4 Notice how there are 4 variants Notice how she broke her 1 word album title, & turned it into 4 We are only at the THE edition of TTPD That's why all the bonus tracks start with THE Tortured _ _ _ _ _ _ Poets _ _ _ _ _ _ Department _ _ _ _ _ _ Bonus tracks are coming Quadruple album, quadruple album 7
Rep2000 Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Does Taylor Swift even know she's releasing another studio album this year? 2

I was gonna object to that translating into anything substantial but I've been seeing KC Chiefs fanpages post about her album variants in support the last couple of weeks. Apparently a lot of them tuned in for the Grammys just to see if she wins her awards. Kinda cute and more supportive than some "Swifties" if you ask me Edited March 5 by Mandalore 5
