It extends to the fact that Clara Bow is a song on the standard edition and that Clara Bow ended in a mental asylum because of the scrutiny of her love life. This might be a complete reach, but it checks out. At least I believe this far more than the two albums theory. oh wait, this could be her darkest album but let me not get too hyped

Maroon legacy Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Parasocial relationship with her fanbase are kinda blurs the view of her legacy and the unprecedented magnitude of her influence on the masses now. Probably, the biggest pop star moment in history. And the fact that it's STILL not the end. I know I'm setting my expectations high, but Midnights was kinda IT girl pop star moment and TTPD is giving me cultural classic (like Red or folklore). Throughout her career she always knew when to switch, where to move and what to do, every her step is logical and needed. 4

I think, they're both just black&white and TTPD is probably gonna be much darker than rep, but you can't change history
Folklore89sm Posted March 3 Posted March 3 It just hit me that ‘I can fix him (no really I can)’ might not be the sassy, angst pop hit I was expecting and might be about trying and failing to fix someone with depression. I’d really love it to be the latter. 2

Scheissex Posted March 3 Posted March 3 I'm so lost as to why the Tik Tok swifties are still obsessed with Rep and convinced she's about to announce it when we are getting an entirely new album.. 2

Throughout her career she always knew when to switch, where to move and what to do, every her step is logical and needed. If we look at her albums like steps: Debut to Speak Now there are kinda the same heartbroken young country girl albums - Red is much more mature lyric wise and musically is heading slightly more into pop - 1989 big pop icon moment - reputation is answer to the hate, a step towards less timeless, modern (at the time) music - Lover is a step to "happy love girl", but at the same time it was her first mature era, since on rep she was wounded, no matter how dark and cool lwymmd and other singles were - folklore is a reminder that she's an ARTIST and not just a blonde pop singer - evermore is an overlooked project, that just lays here to proof her folklore's point even more, it's a genius record - Midnights is a return to ultimate pop girl form and this album is kinda shapeless, she balanced all of her sides there perfectly - TTPD for me right now looks like a reminder to all, why she got THAT famous and why she is THAT big. It's giving lyricism and deep feelings. I'm sure it's gonna be more intense than folklore in terms of sound, but can't name a particular genre. Most likely, alt field and I think, there will be a little shapeshift, some new (maybe rockish) influences, that will expand her dyscography's soundscape. Like.. there's gonna be CRAZY moments, but the album overall won't feel like something that she wouldn't make. 4
IBeMe Posted March 3 Posted March 3 The Black Dog Edition is the best imo I think i'm getting that one. The song title is so fascinating to me

She's clearly at her peak right now and she is the moment. Tbf I don’t think anyone else will see the impending $2B~ gross this tour will have amassed by November, even without any 2025 dates. But yeah I wouldn’t be shocked if she adds more for 2025, I’m just not sure she’ll be up for it. After 1.5 years of performing non-stop 3.5 hour shows she’ll be absolutely drained edit: I also can’t think of anyone ambitious enough to do 150+ stadium shows all across [most of] the globe, with each show being a 3.5 hours long pop concert (so not just standing with a guitar) I do hope TTPD gets proper recognition though! xokuba Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Can't wait to see hundred different versions of the album on Apple Music. 6
every1blinks Posted March 3 Posted March 3 I notice the deluxe CDs are in a double jewel case but the standard CD comes in a single jewel case… 20 songs this era is already more than enough, but I wonder if this era’s version of 3am tracks would be on a surprise 2nd disc…

pinkbowvintage Posted March 3 Posted March 3 OH SHE GOT ME GOOD WITH THIS BLACK DOG VERSION. I had no choice but to pre-order the CD and I told myself I wouldn't pre-order anything. 1
IBeMe Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Imo I think she needs to add another leg to the tour....keep it going until the re recordings project is completely done and then end it all with a massive superbowl celebratory performance on her 20th year anniversary in 2026 or something like that. That would be absolutely wild and insane and perfect. Then she can rest a bit and casually start working on her directorial debut for a major film with Searchlight Studios!
pinkbowvintage Posted March 3 Posted March 3 take this with a grain of salt but someone who went to the listening party said this is evermore/folklore mashed with Midnights 1
