Taylor Swift - 'THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT'

These is literally zero need for Taylor to release lead single before the album. She's an album selling artist and all streams and sales for all songs are important to break the records so she is smart for just releasing everything in one day without pre-releasing singles and she is about to make history and take over the entire top 10 again

So Long, London needs to be an epic 6 minute long ballad :WAP:

The more I think about it, I believe the lead single is coming in March, ahead of Act II and Vultures Part 3. If Taylor really is looking at the charts, she may feel need to do something. I don't think she wants to see her rivals, like Beyonce and Kanye, at the top for much longer.

There is not a single artist who could be described as her rival, much less the two you’ve named :rip:

I saw this on twitter about an insider on reddit sharing valid deets about Ariana's album also shared thoughts on TTPD.. i guess it means something?

This is kinda worded like the person is guessing? Specifically because they’re using “will” instead of “is” :celestial5: but anyway, it’s still a very vague description regardless if it’s true. “Alt pop” and “pop rock” both have a extensive range, so it’s practically impossible to have an idea of the sound until we hear a legitimate snippet.

1) They’re not her rivals. No one is. Much less… Kanye.

2) She clearly is on good relations with Beyoncé. I don’t think she would intentionally release in close proximity to overshadow. Also, I’d say she’s aware of the optics if she were to directly compete with Beyoncé and inevitably win. Certain subset of the bird app would have a field day. :celestial6:

Anyway, we are not getting anything until April 19th. :gaycat6:

What if TTPD is actually a Broadway musical?

There's more to lose if she releases the lead before the album release

"Oh I'm not feeling the genre change"

"No genre change? Same old same old!"

"I don't like this sound"

The curiosity factor will be killed and people's attention spans are shorter now, times have changed in the streaming era

Taylor only needs to make sure everyone knows when a new album is coming and she already did that with the Grammys announcement, for better or worse

Currently craving the rush of another variant reveal only to be immediately followed with a “so what now” feeling as I ponder if she’ll be radio silent until the album release — all at 7am, mere seconds after I wake up, wbu? :celestial4:

Imagine if she didn't post the tracklist after the leak. We would have like 30 fake tracklists only to find out in april that the most crazy one is true and it was in front of us since day 1. The meltdowns would be crazy :ryan3:

Well to be fair, the first time I read it I thought it was fake from “So Long, London” alone :ryan3:

Well you know I was thinking about Taylor's 5+ minute ballads, then realized I only wanted to include the sad ones (so I left off Enchanted and Innocent). I almost cut happiness because it's obviously at a different quality level, but I thought the list needed more than just three entries :ryan3:

No see I was like first on the scene of the tracklist right as it leaked and I went up and down this very thread ranting and raving about how I hated it and hoped none of it was true (cc @Cleanromantic) and then it turned out it was true and I had to eat my words so ******* fast:ryan3:

Now sis don’t even tell me about it cause I was texting my friends saying the titles were kinda lame but as soon as they were revealed I had to do an 180 switch on them :ryan3:

only thing i need her to accomplish commercially is having the lead single spend 10+ weeks at #1 tbh.

apart from that, i really need her to deliver her best album yet. something that’s just undeniably good. i know she knows all eyes are on her and i doubt she’s gonna deliver anything other than perfection.

Dear John? I love how it went from being a discography Top 10 to not even being anywhere near the Top 50 anymore.

I wonder if we’re getting a special edition on streaming with all the songs that didn’t make the cut. Midnights (3AM Edition) worked so well and added even more hype to the release week.

THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT (The Lost Files Edition) or THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT (The Hidden Tapes)… GAG :WAP:

Book of Shadows edition :foxaylove2:

yes it has to be if she decides to drop the album and lead single at the same time this April 19.

I am going to need a digital edition with 6 “vault” tracks like midnights had. Do it taycapitalist. 22 tracks on the digital in total. Then the 5 bonus tracks from all the vinyls :eli: mother coming with 27 songs
