Why there's no live version of ICDIWABH?!?!? Like the whole song is about her situation during The Eras Tour? There HAS to be a live version before next single/album

I really am expecting a Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour: Live album right after the tour wraps because there's no way she won't try to capitalize off it one more time :suburban:

I'm not sure if it'll just be a streaming exclusive or if she'll also do a CD run, but it's definitely coming :suburban:

I would love it because I listen to the illegal downloaded live versions from the Eras Tour movie so she loses A LOT of streams… but if not at least ICDIWABH, it's a must. We don't need any remix just put the live version to push the song

Same, aside from Cruel Summer and the official digital versions she's released through the variants, all of my listens to Eras Tour live tracks have been illegal as well :gaycat6:

I could also see a new version of The Eras Tour film with the TTPD set added. And we definitely deserve that because it's lowkey the best set of the entire tour. Come on miss capitalism, give us a bone we actually want. :WAP:

Spoiler

And I just wanted to congratulate you for achieving your dream in this thread with this very post. :clap3:

Oh yeah, there's absolutely gonna be an "extended cut" streaming release of the film, probably coming with a behind the scenes documentary and the live album :jonny5:

Spoiler

Thank you for noticing jsfdlksd, my random TTPD thread spam era is now over, and at the perfect time since the thread is literally closing on Friday :deadbanana4:

Not this iconic thread on its final week.

I'd like to have a quick throwback to when we were all banned for spamming a s*xual Gretchen TTPD gif :jonnyknife:

I'm gonna need someone to take one for the team and post that gif and a giant bold, underlined and italicized "THIS" the second before the thread closes, so that's what we have to look back on

Oh exactly :giraffe:

wow I didn't realize it's been almost 6 months since release, so I'll leave my goodbye post before this thread is closed.

overall I liked this album a lot, I can't say that I love it yet but I can see it landing on my top 5. Fortnight, My Boy, Down Bad, FOTS, loml, Broken Heart, TSMWEL and The Alchemy are my faves. So Long London is a masterpiece that deserves its place as the rest of her 5th tracks. Clara Bow is fantastic too and I'd love an album with those chill rock-ish guitars and production. I still need some time with The Anthology but I don't see another track beating I Hate It Here.

see y'all on the base and then Rep-ST TV/TS12

Since this thread is gonna be closed soon, let me share what I think the era should've looked like in my fantasy world.

Lead single: Fresh Out The Slammer (April - May)

Promo single (ala Bejeweled): I Can Do It With A Broken Heart (like a week or two after the album release)

2nd single: Guilty As Sin? (June - July)

3rd single: Down Bad (August - September)

4th single: My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys (October - November)

Final single: loml (December - January)

All with videos of course :giraffe:

Ugh y'all are just not appreciating this album in the way it deserves to be appreciated. Like... the Reputation stems leaked. Okay? Big deal. When will the stems from THIS leak? Why aren't y'all on the streets outside the 13 Megladons office park rental picketing and DEMANDING these stems? Y'all are some ******* fakes.

You are the stems sweety :suburban:

That title is clickbait to the fullest extent and I'm living for it.

He's spilling a little and then some in the video too. :clap3:

Spoiler

I still haven't forgotten about the Midnights slandering so I'm keeping a little side-eye but he's been redeeming himself little by little. :clap3:

Since this thread is closing soon, I'm only here to say that Guilty As Sin deserved to be a single since it seems like this era will end when the tour does as well  :gaycat6:

Is this thread closing soon???? NOOOOOOOOO :weeps:

TTPD you will always be loved and famous :heart2:

Now I hope her team let's Broken Heart run its course and focus on So High School (or another single) before the Christmas freeze!

Jack Antonoff talks about Down Bad to the LA Times saying that he is very proud of the song because it manages to transport him to another universe and that is what his favorite songs do:

"It just captures this vacillation of the human experience so perfectly for me — like, I'm dancing, I'm driving in the dark. Am I crying? Am I making out with someone? It does a thing that a lot of my favorite songs do, where it just puts me in a place. (I'm particularly proud of) Just the totality of it: the LinnDrum; the tremolated, wobbling synth; the shimmering guitars. I could dissect it, but it just grabs me as soon as I hear it. It's like a born universe.

I feel that way about "August." I feel that way about "Cruel Summer." I feel that way about [Lana Del Rey's] "Venice *****." They just put you there in that universe. And you can't believe them when they happen, because they're the hardest to try to plan. They kind of come out of thin air, whereas some songs are these mountains that you work on forever."

it's coming... :jonnycat:

TTPD, the memorial to mental illness that you are. The way Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus, Fortnight, Guilty as Sin?, Down Bad, I Look in People's Windows, and Fresh Out the Slammer haven't left my On Repeat playlist since release should be studied.

I don't think there will be another album like it in her discography. That she was at one of her lowest points while putting on a smile for the biggest tour of all time is pure art. The blending of song subjects is top tier. Her pen was on fire the entire time. Very glad I'm one of those girls who gets it, because I can't imagine not recognizing the TALENTRY on display here

This really is such a brilliant album with so much TEXTURE and depth that ages like fine wine and sounds a little different depending on my mood and the context of my life. The critics really dropped the ball on this.

No like, I just listened to it and it really is ethereal. I feel bad for people who can't hear its greatness.
