orange 🧡 TS12 with loud bombastic pop BANGERS about her being a f**king superstar, being in love with a f**king superstar, and ruling the world.......... :jonny5:

like ofc we love the more mellow folk/synthpop of folklore thru ttpd, but if we get a FIFTH album of that?? :biblio: i'll have the folklorian woods burnt to a CRISP, and the department/asylum shut down for SEVERAL human rights violations

Same  the folklevermorology is my favorite trilogy, but hard pop taylor is missing since 2019

Yeah. Even I (who's clearly CLEARLY leaning more towards her chiller/calmer music) would be 100% here for a really high energy album with rockish influence in the style of this performance. Bring me the WANEGBT (1989 Tour)'s for the uptempos, the WCS's for the midtempos, and the Clara Bow's for the ballads.

Fr, there are some people that want other sounds because she's done every genre atp obviously, but the people that love that performance are usually people that just didn't know she wasn't a 16 year old country artists anymore, that's why it's always in reaction compilations and those reactors after they listen to her discography lean way more into her chill "bedroom" music (guess what most if not all those reactors fave album is? What's known to some of her fans as MIDnights)

I respect people's tastes in general, i understand that Taylor has a vast discography and not everyone will have the same opinions when it comes to their favorite songs/albums by her. But the way so many Swifties on pop forums/stan twitter, especially those who hate Midnights/TTPD, act as if they're representative of the fanbase as a whole just drives me insane, it really needs to stop :rip:

Because in the real world, Midnights and TTPD are massively successful albums who are beloved by the majority.

Because in the real world, people don't obsessively hate Jack Antonoff, most of the songs he produced for Taylor have been massive hits, including fan favorites like Cruel Summer or August (which wasn't even a single lol).

Because in the real world people are not gatekeepy when it comes to what is "good" or "not good".

Forums like this tend to be massive echo chambers of people convinced of having the absolute, objective truth of things, which is far from being the case. In fact the opposite tend to be true, with so many people in here hating Taylor yet she's so beloved in the real world.

Our opinions are just that at end of the day: opinions. "MIDnights" is just a opinion, it's not an objectively bad album in any way :coffee2:

You think a random comments section is representative of the whole fanbase? :biblionny:

Preach it sis:clap3: I get peoples point of view I really do but I don't go around trashing Jack or aaron when every big actual artist, for example kate bush, always stuck with a "my other half" producer who was Nigel Walker

One of the biggest Spanish speaking bands in the world La oreja de van Gogh also had the same producer for all thier albums and turns out it was kate bushs producer. I just don't see a problem when the artist evolves and Taylor always does, the midnights sound was only in that album and ttpd, that's just TWO :deadbanana4:

Exactly. Midnights and TTPD are not even the same sound. There's similarities for sure but it's not quite the same sound.

They're completely different to me but I know some conjoin the two just because they consider both "boring bedroom synthpop":gaycat6:

Exactly. It really makes zero sense, some people seem unable to differenciate music genres :rip:

Y'all im doing a paper so I needed some help, but first I need an opinion on the main topic but I don't want to make a thread here but maybe I should? Idk how much I trust half this site with their opinion:gaycat6:

It's about wealth disparity in today's climate but I'm also throwing a paragraph on how celebrity culture has brainwashed people into thinking it's ok for rich celebrities that have all the money, time and resources in the world to be using things like ozempic, other weird procedures like that eye trend years back celebs influenced on teenagers that got botched back alley jobs, etc etc

Is that an okay thing to add to a topic about wealth disparity in today's culture?

I say go for it. It's a good, and important, topic. Trolls reside in Charts, Celebria, and Base, but posting it in The Lounge (or maybe Civics, but I would ask a mod first) should be fine because the real world discussions that go on in there are actually very informative most of the time.

Thanks so much :heart2: I'm gonna put it up in the lounge and hopefully get some good opinions instead of people getting offended and saying stuff like  "let xtina thrive! The jealousy!!1":rip:

No rock, though. Rock is a dead sound. It had a cute moment 3 years ago but it's done. Pop rock is one of the corniest sounds that has ever been invented. That's why such a teenage-like sound.

No problem. :heart2: There's a lot of posters in The Lounge that give good advice and opinions. At least from what I've seen, anyway.

That's peoples favorite Taylor :biblio: folklore-ever(nevermind)-midnights-ttpd? All her top albums in streaming even red was OG sad girl

Even half of lover is a weird ass toxic relationship

Taylor's always changing so I would hope more rockish-Guilty as sin type music not her going backwards to pure sugar ass pop, which is odd to see be brought back here when most people said midnights was "going backwards"

The amazing Aoty winner was going backwards? Hell no :biblio:

Aoty? I think tf not :rip:

The world is not made of only pure pop and rock. There are too many genres in between
