Taylor Swift - 'THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT'

The way I genuinely tear up in The Manuscriot when she sings 'At last… she knew what the agony had been for' when it feels like in the whole album she's just spiralling and going insane trying to figure out what's happening to her lmao. So glad our girl is ok now

I can't stand anymore hate to Down bad. what's with the lyrics that you complaint so much? I found them ok, it not poetry like Tolerate it but is not a mess like ME(th) or IFTYE

I genuinely believe some ATRL Swifties have been influenced by critics and OTHs when it comes to TTPD lyrics, i just don't understand what the problem is. TTPD is objectively a great album lyrically when you look at the entire album and not some cherry-picked lyrics here and there.

It's also hilarious how extra people are at Taylor's lyrics when you see some of the albums released this year that have been more acclaimed than TTPD yet have WAY worse lyrics or themes. For example can you imagine what would happen if Taylor called herself a "brat"? People would DESTROY her and call her extremely immature. Yet Charli got acclaimed for it despite being only 2 years younger than Taylor.

And i'm not even bashing the BRAT album, i just think people have obvious double standards when it comes to Taylor and it's beyond annoying :coffee2:

went to taylor nation comments on last instagram post and people are still writing paragraphs about vienna. genuinely don't know what they want to accomplish with this. and honestly entitlement seems insane. some artists cancel shows just because they are hangover, beyonce cancelled Pittsburgh show due to scheduling (sure jan), and never acknowledged it. and here concert is cancelled because of terrorist threat.

I rather that TS12 will be a surprise release on Jan/Feb 2027!!! Aaron Dressner, Kevin Parker, Christopher rowe and Elvira to be the main producers!!!

Next song to reach 100 million on Spotify is "I Hate It Here"….and it's at 90 million. The others are not even close.

Is TTPD: A a flop?   Discuss.

The Manuscript is TTPD's ultimate hidden masterpiece, only real ones with taste like us can fully appreciate it.

They want them to do the shows on another date, which is not going to happen

Also you have to laugh at ppl still coping with TTPD's massive success by saying it's fraud. As if those tactics (which aren't fraud anyway) contributed much and the album wouldn't have still outsold the next biggest one several times over :gaycat6:

People are STILL salty about the Charli Xcx thing? OMFG they need to just GET OVER IT already, Charli wasn't entitled to that #1. Her and Taylor were never in the same league to begin with, that comparison makes NO sense :rip:

Now let's talk about how the next album needs to follow in the footsteps of I Look In People's Windows, I Hate It Here, and The Prophecy, because whew what a sound

I can see Taylor pulling a TS12 with only one version/cover, 12-13 tracks and no collaborations and proving that she can sell 1M+ copies even then and still stay many weeks at the top.

but it would be too humiliating for others

No enough with the knit by the fire type of songs even if they are great i want another 1989 banger album ... turn the bpm way up.

orange 🧡 TS12 with loud bombastic pop BANGERS about her being a f**king superstar, being in love with a f**king superstar, and ruling the world.......... :jonny5:

like ofc we love the more mellow folk/synthpop of folklore thru ttpd, but if we get a FIFTH album of that?? :biblio: i'll have the folklorian woods burnt to a CRISP, and the department/asylum shut down for SEVERAL human rights violations
