Need her to work with Ian Kirkpatrick, Andrew Watt, Kid Harpoon; and Greg Kirstin for Ts12. Also to re unite with max / his team for a few songs. Then Jack for 4 songs.

Good. A little break can only do wonders for her career.

Agreed. This is a perfect team for a light hearted, fun, bop filled album for TS12 which would perfectly reflect where she is at in her great relationship with Travis and her career height and post tour glee (though maybe she can address some of the sadder aspects in a few songs if she wishes too obviously like the stabbings that occured or the attempted terror attack etc)

Yes probably. 2025 will be the year of the two final tvs I think and probably the year she REALLY starts to work full throttle on her movie script that she is directing and writing and then 2026 will be for TS12 I think

tbh I actually wouldnt mind that. We've been SO FED that we have so much catalog to listen to. I kinda do worry about her because she is a work horse lol and though she says she feels so happy when she is working she is still a human so i kinda want her to take it slowly after the tour is over and just release the two tvs in 2025. I just dont want our girl to burn herself out at any point :dancehall:

Oh for sure! I just thought rep was finished recording so was wondering if we get it this year. I think next year is better, release it and then have a nice break!

I mean the reddit losers were tracking that she flew in and out of Stockholm for the last few weeks of Eras Europe so... we shall see:swim:

The script and screenplay have both been written for several months now.

I think about this a lot, just from a perspective of like true album absorption. I don't think I'd really absorbed all of folklore and evermore until like... last year, and I'm nowhere near full comprehension and appreciation of Midnights or TTPD, and we've been so overwhelmed with vault tracks that I don't think I'll ever bother going back to get some of them (sorry We Were Happy, I am thinking about you here :gaycat4:). I'm never gonna say no to new music, but I for one would really love nothing until at least Q2 2025, just to sit with what we've gotten so far :deadbanana4:

Yes x1000. Completely share this sentiment, just on a much larger scale cause... Starting my Swiftie life with evermore means I only started really appreciating her albums in 2021, and since then... the longest break was less than a year between Red TV and Midnights.  :suburban:

Okay, let's be for real now!

TTPD is a good album BUT she's capable of making a much stronger record. She needs to go back to making tight, polished, well thought-out and sonically cohesive bodies of work like she's done with Fearless; 1989 and folklore. Jack needs to go ASAP!! She should definitely work with Max Martin and Shellback if she's making another pop record. We deserve some new Max Martin pop perfections. Max is a much better pop songwriter/producer than Jack. I don't get why she's sabotaging herself and sacrificing her potential with Jack. They have reached their creative limit and they're constantly reusing and recycling the same production elements. The production on TTPD is sadly boring, uninspired and bland. If TS12 is amother Jack album ISTG 😤😡

I would kill for some new timeless pop classics written/produced by Taylor, Max and Shellback! It's a need!

I'm sorry for this unhinged rant but someone needs to say it!

Do you agree with me or not?
What do you think about TTPD?

What do you think about Jack's recent production?

What do you think about Max Martin and Shellback?
Would you like it if they were the main producers on TS12?

What are your wishes for TS12 (producers/songwriters/genre)?

I'd love to hear what do you think!

Fantastic album that suffers more from bloat than any production mistake. With a bit of trim, it is pure excellence.

While the production of the 1989 TV vault made me think his collab with Taylor might have run its course, there's some truly awesome production moment on TTPD. Fresh Out The Slammer, Guilty As Sin, WAOLOM, BDILH, Florida, imgonnagetyouback, I Can Fix Him all sound fresh in Taylor's discography. Plus, nobody's gonna tell me MBOBHFT, Down Bad, The Black Dog, The Alchemy and ILIPW sound anything less than great.

I think people want him back because they crave another 1989 and I personally don't want that so I'm fine not seeing him. Except if they make another Style/Blank Space, but if we're getting another Shake It Off/IWYW/Bad Blood, I don't really want it.

No, I kinda hope producers for TS12 are all new. That's never gonna happen, but I'm hoping at least 80% of TS12 is new producers. I want a new sonic direction.

The way everyone had a meltdown when she went back to pop with midnights then when she went back to folklore sound they had a meltdown too but y'all want her go back to old ass pop producers  :rip: new producers is the way to go, midnights songs that include (i forgot if it was sound wave?) were so so good, aaron during folkmore was gold, max during 1989 was amazing

she shines with new producers:jonny2:

That's mostly because when she has new producers, it's often because she's trying on a different sound. So she puts heart and soul into it to make sure she gets it right to be acclaimed in whatever field of music she's entering.

While not my personal favorites, 1989 and folklore were truly pivotal moments and you can see the amount of thoughts and care she put into these albums. I much prefer the ones where she lets her mind go free (like evermore and TTPD for example), but it's clear they did not receive the same amount of overthinking for acclaim because she was already credible in these genres.

this discussion made me think of something that wasn't obvious: if we had received TTPD before Midnights and Midnights would have been released this year after TTPD I'm sure that the entire fanbase, GP and critics would have seen Midnights as a total regression and it would have become worse than Lover before redemption.

This shows the great quality of TTPD that will be more appreciated in the immediate future, as Lover did in 2022-2023

She can work with anyone she wants. As long as she ditches this talentless hack I'm happy.

No, that's not the case. Midnights might not be the ultimate artistic achievement or a groundbreaking record but it's still overall a really solid body of work. It's a chill, laid back record with a moodier and cooler synthy production than her previous pop records.

TTPD is very "in your face" overdramatic type of album. It's overwritten, unhinged and also sometimes straight-up juvenile and cringy. It's a much more polarizing album and isn't really GP friendly. It's also about Matty Healy and it has 31 tracks.

Midnights is her 1989 of this decade

TTPD is her reputation of this decade
