I still can't believe to this day she wasted her biggest singles to flop tour videos. The laziness and injustice to songs that deserved so much better. I wish those songs received a real single treatment and a far bigger push on radio.

as if those weren't the damn 7th singles atp please (other than ICD but come on she's making re recordings a screenplay touring constantly making new albums etc

My comment was in response to the other eras. I like ICDIWABH tour video. Fearless and Sparks Fly were literally her most anticipated songs of those two eras. Only hardcore OG fans since 2006 know this. We lived it and we suffered. Real trauma!

I still remember the hype for Sparks Fly, it should've been the Speak Now lead single instaed of Mine

Exactly!! I don't know what she was thinking. But I'm glad it had a permanent place on the setlist on future tours for a while.

Sparks Fly on the red tour gives chills after 12 years, what a phenomenal song. I honestly like to think of it as the heart of Speak Now and it sounds great in a playlist between Fearless and Red (songs)

Midnights praise? :jonnycat:

I would literally pay to be able to hear Maroon, High Infidelity, and Hits Different for the first time again :jonny5:

I'll forever remember listening to Would've Could've Should've for the first time. I was already gagged by the standard edition, then by the announcement of the 3AM, then by the quality of the songs on it... and then WCS played. The production, vocals, melodies, everything was so perfect... and those LYRICS goddamn :jonny5:

Gotta admit that no song on TTPD has been able to replicate that feeling, even though I would argue that I Hate It Here and Fresh Out The Slammer are in the same league as WCS in terms of how much I love them. There was just something so instant and visceral about WCS for me.

2. TTPD Anthology

3. Folklore

4. Midnights

Midnights over folklore for me but you are correct regarding her Top 4 albums.

she desperately needs to push GAS? as the 3rd single!! it could rival Karma in terms of streaming stability (months doing +1.7M daily streams)

or a Down Bad remix with SZA

or both :eli:

Oh absolutely not, I have so much hate and resentment in my heart for Ready For Nothing, that song and its bungled single release is the reason we went through the hit making dark ages and I will not take any other theories :bird:

Her first pop single since... what, EHC to miss the top 10 on pop? Ready To Skip oh I hate you so much

:suburban:

Spoiler

The way Taylor's pop radio flops were all like... deep into their respective eras (Fifteen, Sparks Fly, EHC (lets pretend 22 isn't on this list)) and then there's ...STI? which literally came like two weeks after the first snake pictures. The immediate GeePee rejection was visceral and deep :gaycat4:

Gave up on Hot Work Guy™ because he was being weird about even being friends, and I'm too old and tired for that ****. I consulted the oracles (and by that I mean listened to The Prophecy on repeat for hours) and downloaded Bumble and Tinder. Next thing you know I'm talking with, frankly, the cutest man in the entire metropolitan area I live in (and I've actually seen this guy around before). Long Story Short (Live Mashup Version), we talk a lot, then go on a cute little Starbucks date and find that I'm the crazy Swiftie with every TTPD variant (he brought up being salty that there were so many because they're not on Apple Music so I told him lol), he's a Reputation enjoyer (and a Gaga and Halsey stan?) who's thought about getting a snake tattoo, we're both depressed and anxious, we have tons of other similar interests, and I can't tell worth a **** if he's into me! But he said he's down to meet up again so I'm asking about Saturday where I plan to unveil the truth (aka that I meant EVERY variant) by playing him Treacherous X The Alchemy if I drive us anywhere.

My best friend (with whom I made the mistake of talking about this man, she's like… really enthusiastic if you know what I mean) thinks he's my soul mate, and to her credit, she's not been wrong about men yet, and Taylor did drop something on day one, so… clearly the universe is on my side.

If it doesn't work out, I'll just buy another copy or two and cry to Fortnight or something.

WTF IS THIS BETCH! I'm so happy for you but I also hate u low key rn. I'm so jealous but no i'm happy for you I think at the same time :chick3: ugh FML

I know that a lot of people are over the variants even with the bonus tracks, but I'm so thankful for the latest round because The Prophecy X Long Story Short is aggressively burning up my YTD most-played chart at this point - the magic she put into both those songs, and the fact that it's just her and a guitar, and the cheers when the audience heard an Evermore song… literal perfection :jonny:

If she's going to do more live variants, we still need the first performance of Evermore last year during Eras. The mashups have been fun, but we need that full performance.

Speaking of, where is Need? Or Sweeter Than Fiction TV?

I think that is one of my favourite performances from the entire tour. I love the way she can use her old discography to create new stories through these mashups, but words can't really express how much I love that one. The Prophecy is such a devastating song, so to use the mashup to change the prophecy with the "and he's passing by, rare as a glimmer of a comet in the sky" just makes me so emotional. And the way she doesn't mash it up until right until the end of the song, so it's like a little surprise that she changed it in the end. I just love it!!!

With the looming crisp autumn air approaching, I fear TTPD is threatened from being my most streamed weekly album. Red season is nearly here.
