Taylor Swift - 'THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT'

Why are people talking about her blocking Posty? She won't and she can't unless she drops Anthology edition. He's doing 200K+

Nvm just saw Post Malone pulling a TTPD with his latest album 😭

Max Martin just gave Lisa and Rosalia the pop song of the year. I hope Taylor will have at least one more pop album that she works with him, given their interaction at her tour in Sweden.

tbh I know this is going to sound strange but i think you're a k pop fan correct? I kinda want her to have a song like Hype Boy, Ditto, ETA & Attention by New Jeans but mroe western sounding and a little more mature if that makes sense?:jonny5:especially since we all believe TS12 is probably going to be a lot more light hearted and uptempo to reflect her current state of mind being in a loving and fun relationship with Travis and her post eras tour glow and happiness

I honestly hope she does give us physical copies of The Anthology sooner rather than later. I know I initially advocated for her releasing like limited copies of the 3AM and Anthology vinyls copies like years later when she has a time gap / off time (maybe if she wants to take a break to direct her movie or have a family or just chillax for a couple of years etc) but now I want her to release it in a staggered way to collect an additional like 4-6 weeks on top around the holiday season and gag and upset the THOTS even more. They deserve scorched earth method tbh. They already hate her with a passion so might as well just rub it in even more.

We need TTPD:TA with 10 different covers issued once a week over the course of 10 weeks until it's the longest running #1 female album of all time :jonny:

my bank account is going to literally report me for abuse :skull:

But at least I will be skinny AF from having to choose between food and a new variant so it's a win I guess :-*

15+ week #1 albums by women

21 - aoty

bodyguard - aoty

tapestry - aoty

tortured Poets - ?

11-14

Whitney houston - lost to 7 week #1

jagged little pill - aoty

1989 - aoty

fearless - aoty

Mariah Carey - they went with a legacy act who already as a producer/writer had POTY, AOTY, ROTY, POTY, ROTY wins

Whitney - lost to 9 week #1

the only other album with even 3+ weeks on top this cycle is, well, 1989 TV.

the closest portfolio awards-wise to quincy's haul would be...jack. and bleachers has been consistently ignored by the Grammys.

TTPD is not gonna win AOTY, there's no way. Taylor already won it this year and even if she didn't, there's gonna be a LOT of competition for next year's Grammys, lots of critically acclaimed albums were released this year.

Post, Sabrina and Chappell can have a week each:chick1:

The rest of the year is TTPD's to lose, and The Anthology physicals + Guilty As Sin video will be a nice card to play to break the female record of 24 weeks. Do we think she can score 10 more weeks at #1 or is that too optimistic?

do people really think that there will be anthology physicals? in order for it to chart as ttpd, and not separate album, it needs to have standard edition included. unless it is costed as one LP, it would create bigger shitshow than digital variants

I doubt there will ever be vinyl pressings made (no more than an exclusive limited run), but she could **** out 100k double-disc CDs in no time if she wanted :gaycat6:

Down bad still sounds like a number 1 smash even after all this time. Honestly think it's in her top 5 songs of all time :jonny6: what a SONG

Her energy has shifted since the Vienna situation. I feel like she performed IDSB tonight to shut everyone up. She needs a break..

feels like if she makes physicals, it would make sense to push something that's only on anthology.

15 songs from the album haven't had any bonus material released for them, 20 songs don't have live versions released yet (not sure how many she has yet to perform in some form). I wonder if this will culminate in a live album being tacked on for streaming. Probably not, but one can hope to eventually have it all in one place.

Moments that make me cry on this album:

SLL: 'For so… long… Loooooonndooon' :weeps:

loml: from 'our field of dreams' onwards :weeps:

COSOSOM: 'just say you loved me' :weeps:

HDIE?: the whole thing :weeps:

The Manuscript: 'and at LAST… she knew what the agony had been for' :weeps:

This is her second best album I've fathomed. Relistened to evermore this weekend and bruh, that album speaks to my soul on such a deep level. Will forever be #1 I fear
