So 12th week on lock now. Good for her though. A personal best for the legend that she is. Hopefully she switches things up for the next album. I wish she would make another pure pop record again. Anti-hero and Cruel Summer shows she can still make bangers but i just wish we had another 1989 by a 35 year old with a somewhat pop mature sound and lyrics. How about taking inspiration from her thirties and her success.

Sorry, reading your message one more time now and I think I might be on the same page with you. Yes, a Pop album but mature sound and more

experimentation. I'm sure Jack can help her with it. He's one the best producers (if not the best) these days. And he has shown that he's quite versatile (collaboration with Lana, Lorre, St. Vincent, etc.). They just need to change the formula which helped them in the past.

PLEASE, we need her to block Em so he puts out some disrespectful and distasteful diss track about her, which she can use for promo for Rep TV :jonnycat:

(Also, if she wants the album to stay at the top, she could always release and promote Down Bad as the second single :duck:)

I might be on the contrary here. I wish nothing as such. I want her to be more creative with her sound, i.e. doing something she has never done before.

She can be creative in her forties..i think she should cement her legacy further and make other diamond albums while she's still in her prime. I mean she will never be obsolete i think like a sheryl crow or alanis morisette. Love them but they were not relevant for 12 straight albums in a row. Also i do want her voice to age a bit and get even better by the time she goes in her forties. I grew up with taylor and will support her till shes in her 70s and 80s.

Wait the 65k signed cd sales. I thought it's not possible to track sales from her store anymore?

I think signed CDs are a little different since there's definitely a finite amount they can sell versus pre-orders for other things they have room to produce more before the shipment date if they "oversell" their initial stock

Are there any rumors about next week? Eminem should do north of 200K, and some said 300-350K which sounds like a reach to me considering her last album did 270K.

If she wants to get that magic 13th week she will have to unleash something big.

These are the major #1 contenders for Billboard 200 chart in the upcoming weeks:

7/5 Zach Bryan

7/12 Eminem

7/19 Jimin & Stray Kids

7/26 -

8/2 -

8/16 Post Malone

8/23 Sabrina Carpenter

8/30 -

9/6 -

It looks like she has a fairly good shot at blocking Zach Bryan, which will be the album's 12 week at #1.

HDD is predicting 300-350k for Eminem, so I think that will be the first time 'TTPD' drops to #2, and I don't think it'll return to #1 the week after either, since those two K-Pop albums will most likely debut with 150-200k each. But 'TTPD' will have a shot at #1 again in those 2 weeks prior to Post's album dropping, since those K-Pop albums will free-fall after week 1 and Eminem's album may have slowed down by its 3rd and 4th week.

The bridge of The Prophecy is really top tier

And I sound like an infant
Feeling like the very last drops of an ink pen
A greater woman stays cool
But I howl like a wolf at the moon
And I look unstable
Gathered with a coven round a sorceress' table
A greater woman has faith
But even statues crumble if they're made to wait
I'm so afraid I sealed my fate
No sign of soulmates
I'm just a paperweight
In shades of greige
Spending my last coin so someone will tell me
It'll be ok

I always have an actual physical reaction to "But I howl like a wolf at the moon". I don't know what it is, but it's like something wants to get out and I guess it just gets me. That song is truly settling as one of my (all time?) favorites from her.

I still can't believe I got to witness it live as my surprise song, and mashed-up with an evermore song no less. Between this and loml in Paris N1 + The Alchemy/Treacherous in Paris N4 + Chloe in Lyon N2, I truly got blessed by the TTPD gods.:jonny5:

That part does something to my brain too, her delivery :jonny5:

Oops, seems like HDD omitted that week in their article talking about album releases this summer. I suppose no one relevant is releasing that week, so that could be a potential #1 week for 'TTPD' also.

Maybe they hid it cause Gaga might be releasing there but she hasn't announced yet

At this point, more successful albums will not really add anything to her legacy, she's already one of the very most successful artists of all time. There's no legacy extension to be made from another successful album.

Extending her musical palette with new soundscapes is pretty much the only thing she can still actively do to extend her legacy. The rest will be up to time.

EDIT: actually, exploiting her current level of success to venture into new territories sonically and making sure people are aware of it is the best thing she could ever do.

The way I NEED a variant with literally any live or acoustic version of The Prophecy :jonny2: she went in the studio the day she made that song and channeled every aspect of the divine that ever existed

Fearless & 1989 – 11 weeks at number one in Billboard 200 and won AOTY at the Grammys.

TTPD – 11 weeks at number one in Billboard 200 this week. (Predicted to be 12 straight week next week)

AOTY at the 67th Grammys incoming??? I would be surprised if it happens.

I feel like if her next record is jam packed with "Bops" aka uptempos then TTPD will be even more appreciated by the fan base and GP.

To me, TTPD: Anthology is EASILY her best album however for a lot of people in the fan base the #1 complaint I keep seeing is that it's too full of ballads, midtempos and lacks strong melodies etc...If she "course corrects" with TS12 being a little more edited, not a stream of consciousness type of record like TTPD and is more polished in the vein of 1989 full of mostly bops then I can guarantee yall that TTPD will be viewed with so much more love and adoration. Right now I think a lot of critics and fans are craving more "bops" from Taylor rather than midtempos and ballads because even Midnights was a little slower for a pop return (except for a few uptempos here and there). The BPM of her past 4 original albums has been a little slower on average (Folklore, Evermore, Midnights & TTPD). If TS12 is more fun, sexy and bop filled to match her current relationship with Travis and post Eras tour glee then I think the fans and critics will be satisfied and TTPD will be seen in a much better light retroactively

TTPD only lack the nostalgic factor to become her top album for me.

It has everything we die-hard fans want from her. Lyrics and storytelling.

And some might say the lack of melody but it`s just because they havent get use to the beautiful melody this album provide.
