A few days ago I found a video discussing TTPD, and at the end, there was a reshuffled 16 songs tracklist of the album. I tried it, and it just works fantastically well, narratively and sonically. If you're interested:

Spoiler

1. The Black Dog

2. So Long London

3. Guilty As Sin?

4. The Albatross

5. How Did It End?

6. Fresh Out The Slammer
7. Fortnight

8. The Alchemy

9. But Daddy I Love Him
10. I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can)

11. Down Bad

12. My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys

13. The Prophecy

14. The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived

15. Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus

16. loml

This is definitely going to be my playlist for when I don't feel like doing a 2h listen of the album. I think it's a very great representation of it.

Chloe et al is gorgeous and one of my faves, but I do wish she had given it a better name :dies:

I feel so high school every time I look at you
I wanna find you in a crowd just to hide from you
And in a blink of a crinkling eye
I'm sinking, our fingers entwined
Cheeks pink in the twinkling lights
Tell me 'bout the first time you saw me
I'll drink what you think, and I'm high
From smoking your jokes all damn night
The brink of a wrinkle in time
Bittersweet sixteen suddenly
I'm watching American Pie with you on a Saturday night
Your friends are around, so be quiet
I'm trying to stifle my sighs
'Cause I feel so high school every time I look at you
But look at you
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah
Are you gonna marry, kiss, or kill me? (Kill me)
It's just a game, but really (really)
I'm bettin' on all three for us two (all three)
Get my car door, isn't that sweet? (That sweet)
Then pull me to the backseat (backseat)
No one's ever had me (had me), not like you
Truth, dare, spin bottles
You know how to ball, I know Aristotle
Brand new, full-throttle
Touch me while your bros play Grand Theft Auto
It's true, swear, scouts honor
You knew what you wanted and boy, you got her
Brand new, full-throttle
You already know, babe
I feel like laughing in the middle of practice
Do that impression you did of your dad again
I'm hearing voices like a madman
And in a blink of a crinkling eye
I'm sinking, our fingers entwined
Cheeks pink in the twinkling lights
Tell me 'bout the first time you saw me
I'll drink what you think, and I'm high
From smoking your jokes all damn night
The brink of a wrinkle in time
Bittersweet sixteen suddenly
I'm watching American Pie with you on a Saturday night
Your friends are around, so be quiet
I'm trying to stifle my sighs
'Cause I feel so high school (I feel so high school)
Every time I look at you
But look at you
Truth, dare, spin bottles (yeah)
You know how to ball, I know Aristotle
Brand new, full-throttle (yeah)
Touch me while your bros play Grand Theft Auto
It's true, swear, scouts honor (yeah)
You knew what you wanted and boy, you got her
Brand new, full-throttle (yeah)

See I actually think it's messy in just the right way that fits the song and the fact that it really is Sophie and the gang... :suburban:. That being said, if she'd gone with like "The Way That You Were" or "Will I Always Wonder?" or something I'd have DEVOURED it :suburban:

I'll absolutely buy the Anthology vinyl so fast :jonnycat:

Great way to keep the album #1 an extra week or two, but also a nice change from the Midnights era situation.

I hope she keeps milking this album, honestly, so that we get basically everything she can release. All 31 original tracks on physical releases, 11 bonus tracks/versions and counting - literally the most prolific era of her career.

This is legit her only album that I've had on repeat since its release without getting sick of it (even 1989 and Folklore I took a break from at this point). She really put narcotics in this :gaycat6:

Is Fortnight gonna be her fastest song to reach a billion or will Anti-Hero hold that title?

Anti-Hero will still hold that title most likely but I think it will be somewhat close

The Alchemy X Treacherous Mashup (Live From Paris) is working its magic today, oh the sorcery, the witchcraft of it all :gaycat5:

the way that this live mashup that was probably a throwaway for her and will potentially never be released to streaming is coming fast for my all-time most played song feels a little ridiculous though :rip: Cornelia Street (Live From Paris) walked so this one could run!

Discovered some clever lyricism in I Hate It Here that I haven't seen anyone talk about

"Lucid dreams like electricity, the current flies through me,
and in my fantasies I rise above it"

The current of electricity but also the CURRENT of time, as in the present

:jonnycat: her mind never ceases to amaze me

If she's going to put the Anthology CDs/vinyl up for sale, I would kinda prefer it if she waited until later this year. :lakitu:

She can coincide their release with the 2nd North America leg + the holiday season boost for physical sales + potentially another single push to give the album a 2nd wind on the charts later this year and have all that also work as her Grammys push at the same time. :ninja:

Well, if she can't do The Anthology at that time, then that's when she can release The Complete Anthology with every bonus track we already have so far and those we have yet to hear! :gaycat:
