Cruel Summer Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 I'll absolutely buy the Anthology vinyl so fast Great way to keep the album #1 an extra week or two, but also a nice change from the Midnights era situation. I hope she keeps milking this album, honestly, so that we get basically everything she can release. All 31 original tracks on physical releases, 11 bonus tracks/versions and counting - literally the most prolific era of her career. 5

Cleanromantic Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 This is legit her only album that I've had on repeat since its release without getting sick of it (even 1989 and Folklore I took a break from at this point). She really put narcotics in this 3
Arrows Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 Is Fortnight gonna be her fastest song to reach a billion or will Anti-Hero hold that title?

AvadaKedavra Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 This is the album i play when the days are overcast
Cruel Summer Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 The Alchemy X Treacherous Mashup (Live From Paris) is working its magic today, oh the sorcery, the witchcraft of it all the way that this live mashup that was probably a throwaway for her and will potentially never be released to streaming is coming fast for my all-time most played song feels a little ridiculous though Cornelia Street (Live From Paris) walked so this one could run! 2
305 Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 Discovered some clever lyricism in I Hate It Here that I haven't seen anyone talk about "Lucid dreams like electricity, the current flies through me, and in my fantasies I rise above it" The current of electricity but also the CURRENT of time, as in the present her mind never ceases to amaze me 4
Feanor Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 If she's going to put the Anthology CDs/vinyl up for sale, I would kinda prefer it if she waited until later this year. She can coincide their release with the 2nd North America leg + the holiday season boost for physical sales + potentially another single push to give the album a 2nd wind on the charts later this year and have all that also work as her Grammys push at the same time. 1

Well, if she can't do The Anthology at that time, then that's when she can release The Complete Anthology with every bonus track we already have so far and those we have yet to hear! 1
Klein Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 I have criticized the acoustic variants for being completely useless, but the Guilty as Sin one? It's just so so so so good (once again proving why it's a career highlight). 5

Holiest Dreams Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 I still can't believe Chris Rowe did vocal engineering on tracks like FOTS, GAS?, ICFHNRIC, loml, and Chloe et al I've been SO critical of how he handled her vocals on the re-recordings, and was also very scared about her bringing him on to new albums, but he ******* SNAPPED here 4

Was he pushed to do them as quickly as possible?

PaloSanto Posted June 27, 2024 Posted June 27, 2024 These acoustic versions would be 100% improved with a different vocal take like Forever & Always and State of Grace to match the new production. That was my main issue with Slvt!, and the Midnights versions... Guilty as Sin? is so far the best one by a landslide 2
Klein Posted June 27, 2024 Posted June 27, 2024 Cassandra might not really have its place on this album, but she still threw in a line that I find really really good. They say, "What doesn't kill you makes you aware" What happens if it becomes who you are? The idea that fame can completely rip your identity off of you is perfectly portrayed here. I love it. 3
