Europe Posted June 16 Posted June 16 The title track is so good! The "he took the ring off my middle finger and put it on the one people put wedding rings on" line is super catchy. 6
Holiest Dreams Posted June 16 Posted June 16 The funniest thing about this release has been OTHs losing their minds over TTPD having 'lukewarm' reviews (and lbr is 76 even truly lukewarm). The amount of times I've seen people attempt to drag Taylor in fan wars using critical acclaim against her/Swifties and I'm just like, are the past 4 years of non-stop universal critical acclaim erased because of one album with a sub-80 score? Not to mention the retrospective acclaim her work always sees - and I'm certain TTPD will benefit from that too. Idk, it's just funny to me. Even on P4K (which apparently matters when Taylor is bashed but doesn't matter when anyone else is bashed ) she has one of the better averages amongst pop girls. 7
IBeMe Posted June 16 Posted June 16 I have a theory that she isnt going to be releasing physicals of The Anthology until many years from now (along with 3AM physicals ). I feel like when she will inevitably take a bit of a break from music (probably around whenever she wants to have her kids (if she wants that obviously) then she could maybe do a limited edition release of like 200k physical copies of the 3AM Edition of Midnights and like 200k copies The Anthology or something. Just something for us fans to kind of look forward to and keep us busy during that inevitable break / slow down period in her music career. So maybe we can expect that in the late 2020s tbh.
kayliah Posted June 16 Posted June 16 Does she even want kids? She would make a great mom for sure. She is so career focused though and very ambitious and driven. She thought her career would be over in her thirties until the tides changed she thought eilish and rodrigo would be the next big things and tried to be gracious about it until folklore happened and her popularity skyrocketed to new heights. 1

I used to think that she will slow down in her career and take a break to have a family. But first of all, we are not even sure if she really wants that for herself right now. And even if she does, the fact that she has been able to record TTPD while on a massive WW tour (and it's a double album), makes me believe she is not going to stop making music. 2020-2023 were also a proof that she can just lay down, don't tour, don't promote and still record a lot of music and share it with us. 1
EndofASadMovie Posted June 16 Posted June 16 The smoke cloud billows out his mouth Like a freight train through a small town The jokes that he told across the bar Were revolting and far too loud They shake their heads saying, "God, help her" When I tell them he's my man But your good Lord doesn't need to lift a finger I can fix him, no, really I can and only I CAN 1

It's the only thing that's truly legendary that she misses, maybe she could release all those physical copies along with the superbowl 1

Right, she can easily stay at home, record music there and then just release it without any physical promo. 1

She can make use of her time on top to solidify that legacy by taking unexpected turns and risks and focusing on creating great quality classic albums. And for many people she has done exactly that? 'Midnights' and 'TTPD' are two of her biggest albums ever, you don't have albums this big without it resonating with millions of people. A legacy is not defined by two dozen critics and users of a niche pop culture forum. You seriously need to stop taking your own subjective POV and applying it to the general population as if it were fact. You don't think she's making great quality classic albums, most other people do. 14 hours ago, NEX said: Instead she seems focused on gaming the charts by stuffing her albums to the brim to increase the streams and dropping variants to increase the sales. This album has done incredible damage to her legacy. Those who still can't see it are in total denial at this point. Oh no, her legacy is damaged! Will her next stadium tour fail so sell out? Will her next album bomb 'ARTPOP' style? Will her 11 charting albums on Billboard all drop out? Will she fade into obscurity? Is she headed for an American Idol gig next? A Vegas residency to watch her career die? 9 1 1

She's with someone that has stated multiple times that he wants children. I don't think she would be so public with a relationship if they weren't on the same page about that.

mael Posted June 16 Posted June 16 (edited) The vitriol is at an all-time high on here, my goodness. So many offensive insults that have been thrown around towards Taylord and us... need TTPD to stay at number 1 for half a yeah tbh Edited June 16 by mael 3

Cleanromantic Posted June 16 Posted June 16 The way 90% of those lyrics are taken out of context... never trust a pick me swiftie, they're the worst breeds. Like taking the asylum lyric and twisting it into something it's not is straight out of an oth book. This album trimming the fat of this Fandom is an added bonus to its excellence in my eyes 6
Cruel Summer Posted June 16 Posted June 16 I just checked my Apple Music replay and, somehow, Fortnight is hanging on strong as my most played song of the year - and she has 8 of my top ten Oh Fortnight the ten week #1 smash you deserved to be 1

If I don't like it you can't possibly do". 4
