Say it louder :clap3:.

My issues with the oth is that they can dish it out but can never take it. They'll spend weeks coming for Taylor in the most vile and deranged ways and the moment we say something we're the meany bullies.

People getting offended over us calling Charli fans ageing white gays and claiming it's homophobic :bibliahh:

But when we get called teenage white girls, nazis etc it's crickets

What if I roll the stone away?
They're gonna crucify me anyway
What if the way you hold me
Is actually what's holy?
If long suffering propriety
Is what they want from me
They don't know how you've haunted me
So stunningly
I choose you and me
... Religiously

This Bridge :jonny3:

I love all the religious imagery throughout the album :jonnycat:

I'm so used at this point of this performative outrage over "homophobia", it's just a card they're using to close down any argument. Even they don't actually believe it :rip:

Those are the same people who, when AI p*rn of Taylor was made, at best said nothing and at worst actually supported it. It was pure, naked misogyny and they claim to care about "social justice" at the same time. I'm done with those blatant hypocrites :toofunny3:

What are you even talking about? :deadbanana4:

This is what YOU all claim to not care about, yet tantrums are being thrown because Taylor (who is NOT shy about wanting to be on top) got the #1 spot. Swifties like to see our fave win on the charts because it means her music is being consumed and appreciated, and none of us have denied that. Please try to make it make sense.

I'm a swiftie and I am a bit tired of those variants gimmicks 8 weeks in. I know its the game but to have to use those live versions and 1 per album at $5.99 each is very greedy. There I said it. I know a lot of swifties will get mad at me cuz I'm supposed to kiss the earth taylor swift walks on but no I wont do that. She needs to be called out for this behavior she's using her biggest star in the world status to her advantage. Karma is a thing. One day a young ingenue will become so huge that no variants will stop her. A taste of her own medicine. The backlash is warranted at this point. Enough is enough. Maybe she wants to make money for the rainy days and still live like a superstar for decades to come. I love Taylor but I get the backlash and sorry those live 'collectibles' are getting out of control...

How's the outlook for week 9? Seems tough to beat Luke Combs, even with the extra variants

Jobless painting himself as the human "normal" one and suddenly having so much to say about her... oh the baguettologist, where are you?

Posted

Instead of all those things why doesnt she simply release a new single to boost the streams or show behind the scenes of making the album on insta and tik tok ....to boost the album. Its high time for a new single 😄

And here we go, the pick me Swifties are coming :rip:

You're right, enough is enough. Enough of people like you who are pretending the backlash against Taylor isn't based on hypocritical double standards and obvious misogyny. Taylor is competitive and does what she wants in order to keep herself at #1, there's NOTHING wrong with that. Every single pop star in her position would do the exact same thing.

I swear Swifties are the only fanbase with pick me "fans" like that, literally no other fanbase has people doing this :rip:

taylor very well knows her time could be over eventually; see exhibits A B and C

'Cause you don't feel pretty, you just feel used
And all the young things line up to take your place

Another name goes up in lights
You wonder if you'll make it out alive

I know someday I'm gonna meet her, it's a fever dream
The kind of radiance you only have at 17
She'll know the way, and then she'll say she got the map from me
I'll say I'm happy for her, then I'll cry myself to sleep

Only when your girlish glow
Flickers just so
Do they let you know
It's hell on earth to be heavenly
Them's the breaks
They don't come gently

She'll makes the best use of her time for as long as she has the platform to do so.

There was a time not that long ago when most fanbases weren't pretending the music industry was some kind of big family where every pop girl loved each other unconditionally. We know that's not true, it has NEVER been true. But now that Taylor is the undisputable #1 pop girl, they still cannot cope with it and act as if she's some kind of unique evil capitalist who would do anything to "sabotage" other pop girls :toofunny3:

I really want to go back to that time where people had some honesty about what the music business is instead of pretending all pop stars except Taylor are those sweet angels that would NEVER have any ambition whatsoever and definitively don't care about charts, since caring about charts is evil apparently. Everyone except Taylor is doing commercial pop music for the love of arts these days apparently :fan2:

You don't need to be always on top to have a solid legacy. A legacy consists of more than just success. She can make use of her time on top to solidify that legacy by taking unexpected turns and risks and focusing on creating great quality classic albums. Instead she seems focused on gaming the charts by stuffing her albums to the brim to increase the streams and dropping variants to increase the sales. This album has done incredible damage to her legacy. Those who still can't see it are in total denial at this point.

Just noticed that each time she spent 10+ weeks atop BB200 in the period from initial release date through the Grammy voting period, she won:

Fearless obviously

1989 obviously

Folklore + the first half of Evermore's reign

Midnights + SNTV + 1989TV

Yeah, the extra releases got the latter two periods there, but most MPGs can get maybe 1-2 weeks on top, so even if they released as often as her, they still wouldn't be getting 10 weeks

This is the most delusional take in here :dies:. We all know if this album came out 2 years ago it'll be heralded as her best, because it actually is some of her best work, but because it came out at a time people decided they can no longer tolerate her success they decided to act like it's the worst thing ever created, and the funniest thing is, we've been down this road several times before. Artists with a third of Taylor's acclaim and success are considered legends every day on the internet, her legacy has never been more cemented. The internet hating her as it does with every woman than deciding they "love her again" is nothing new, nor is it exciting.
