The same people who told us that fans chanting "Taylor died" or many of them calling for her/Swifties to be assaulted all week (this **** is all over Twitter it's nasty) 'wasn't serious' and we should "get over it" are now acting like Taylor killed someone because she utilized her demand to keep her new album at #1 on a chart 

 

You can't make this up. And this mass derangement will never be clocked because even the people who are supposed to be keeping everyone in check on here are joining in on it. It's becoming truly scary how normalized genuinely psychotic and vile behavior against Taylor and her fans over the most unserious non-issues has become now 

 

At the end of the day this will remain the biggest AND most discussed album of the year by a large margin and people will have to just cry about it. Taylor will continue being a musician AND a business at the same time who pushes her work because she believes in it. Variants that only a few thousand people will buy is nothing crazy or weird. Everyone needs to get over themselves. Idk what else to say lmao you'll never convince me that Taylor - OR ANY OTHER ARTIST btw - releasing small batches of variants for collectors or chart reasons is a bad thing. Maybe it's just because I have real issues to care about in the real world like most people, but yeah, I will not ever care or condemn musicians using chart tactics which has been going on FOREVER

Oh here's the tea, it's always a delight to see what people in the real world who aren't connected to chronically online spaces think. Nobody in the GP cares about these non-issues that stans are running into the ground as a (obviously failed) last-ditch effort to thwart her dominance. 
 

It was also the same with TTPD's release, if you looked at ATRL or Twitter you'd think the album was hated and she was a joke but in the real world everyone listened to it. And they either had one of two normal reactions; 1. they liked it and added it to their playlist, or 2. they didn't like it and moved on without making odd thinkpieces on why she's evil for [insert nonsense here]

I've been complaining about them giving out unfair warnings and bans for years, nothing's ever going to change in this cesspool of a place. Ive seen people say way worse things and get away with it constantly. Thankfully it's just the bitter stans, everyone seems to be loving the 2 month #1 album in the real world and that's what gets them mad

If we want to interpret the song as a metaphor for her personal relationship then both of them are characters in the song: Joe is the husband and Matthew is the "miracle move on drug" she spent a fortnight with. So I'd say that it's more about the latter, though the former is still a relevant narrative figure.

I've never picked up on it but it's really a 1:1 recreation of that scene.
 

I still don't know fully what Fortnight is about tbh, with how much music was dumped on us I just gave up on trying to critically analyze some songs and vibed to them instead. Fortnight being one of them
