Taylor fanboy Posted June 7 Posted June 7 (edited) Page 1989 is cursed I fear. Those back to back threads. Let's get back stronger than a 1990s trend. Edited June 7 by Taylor fanboy
Cleanromantic Posted June 7 Posted June 7 I don't think she'll release anymore mvs but Down Bad and Guilty as Sin would be so good if filmed. For down bad she should keep the same 20s black and white fortnight aesthetic but set it in an old western town with campy old fashioned props and aliens. For Guilty As Sin she should just recreate the album cover. Just sensual sepia beauty shots of her writhing in a king sized white bed with white pillows in a brickstone New York apartment 2
cruelhprince Posted June 7 Posted June 7 I need music videos for Down Bad, ICDIWABH, But Daddy, Who's Afraid and My Boy 2
Starchild Posted June 7 Posted June 7 Still listening to this magnum opus on the daily took a road trip with it on and I ascended About the Matty thread, is everyone just pretending to be stupid? Cause she clearly said on the album repeatedly that he showed her off but didn't give 2 fucks about her behind closed doors after the short ass honey moon phase they had after he acted like some knight in shining armor while she was with Joe. He was a dick that promised her **** he never was capable of doing and tossed her once "it wasn't forbidden" like she spells it out over and over 2 2

Cleanromantic Posted June 7 Posted June 7 TTPD is her first album since Never Grow Up to make me sob . There's something about her grief, depression, desperation, and shame on this album that is so ******* relatable to me LOML, How Did It End, The Prophecy, Chloe et all are the songs that are the hardest for me to get through without getting emotional When your impressionist paintings of heaven turned out to be fakes You ****-talked me under the table, talking rings and talking rings and talking cradles, I wish I could unrecall how we almost had it all
Cleanromantic Posted June 7 Posted June 7 Guess who we ran into at the shops? Walking in circles like she was lost This is her most relatable album for me, unfortunately. 2
Cleanromantic Posted June 7 Posted June 7 Say it once again with feeling How the death rattle breathing Silenced as the soul was leaving The deflation of our dreaming Leaving me bereft and reeling My beloved ghost and me Sitting in a tree D-Y-I-N-G It's happenin' again How did it end? 1
Starchild Posted June 7 Posted June 7 (edited) I can't get over SLL, it's just SO GOOD The way hoax and tolerate it were about Joe all along left me speechless the first time ngl I'm not sure why people were upset some songs were about Matty at first, Joe had folklore evermore and midnights, their breakup was slow and painful Edited June 7 by Starchild 2 2
RebelQuad Posted June 8 Posted June 8 Sone songs on this album are way too ******* sad. I would like to name the way she sings "Will I always, will I always wonder?" in Chloe or Sam as the most heartbreaking moment in her entire discography. 5
fridayteenage Posted June 8 Posted June 8 i wonder how much i can see you woulda flopped as a single, in the scenario where fans didn't force her to release cs as a single. currently her 107th highest song on spotify daily.

I can't believe I'm wallowing in its sadness for the last couple of months when I could easily play another album of hers.
Nico Robin Posted June 8 Posted June 8 Not me thinking most of the album is about Joe and not that rat... Is there like a list to check which song is about who?

Nein Posted June 8 Posted June 8 Why is ATRL so miserable about Taylor? The comments in this thread are actually so miserable, and the countless reactions supporting the misogynistic comments. TTPD is a solid record that broke so many records, it really was never that deep.

TTPD is a solid record that broke so many records, it really was never that deep. I agree some comments are beyond miserable. Sadly, I genuinely don't think the discourse around Taylor (both positive or negative) will ever be back to "normal" as long as she remains such a behemoth success-wise. The disgusting comments are a direct response to the overwhelming praise/success she's been experiencing. If her haters realized that their obsession with dragging her through the mud at any cost is an integral part of why she's so successful (because of the never-ending exposure they are giving her), maybe things could be back to normal faster but alas... 3
