What Madonna did to get to her status was on a much bigger and more challenging scale than Taylor could ever imagine. So no, that's comparing apples to oranges in my opinion. 3 1 6

So no, that's comparing apples to oranges in my opinion. You're entitled to your opinion but the objective truth of the matter is Taylor has surpassed everyone except MJ, The Beatles, and Madonna, in the same way Madonna surpassed everyone that was not MJ or The Beatles. The roads they took to get there will never be comparable but that doesn't negate the significance of either of their achievements. 7

AvadaKedavra Posted May 22 Posted May 22 (edited) 2 hours ago, IBeMe said: same tbh. Not only her random comments but I just sat through her Zane Lowe Interview and in SEVERAL parts she and her brother KINDA shade Taylor lol...they mention how no one needs long albums and if people complain about an album being long it means it's not good (lol), then they talked about how diaristic song writing is lame and not their approach etc... while those comments can be general...I do think that the person these comments are mostly made about in their field is indeed Taylor so yeah...I get the sense they just do not like her much and CLEARLY she doesn't like them that much either based on the events of this week I live for this type of petty ish lol. It's harmless and stems from a place of pure competition and I really enjoy it I honestly think all the new gen z singers are annoyed about taylor. Theyre like.......... Why this geriatric milenial is takin our spots? We should be the one havin the spotlight today..........NOT HER!!! But im sorry. We milenials. We are a powerful breed we cant be defeated. We are young forever. We are just gettin better with time. Taylor is breakin the matrix. Cause every generation is replaced by a new one. Taylor is like.........NO! Edited May 22 by AvadaKedavra 6

She's also been in the game for long enough to cement herself in the kind of spot she's in, whereas most Gen Z artists just haven't gotten there yet. A few will in time.
PoisonedIvy Posted May 22 Posted May 22 Taylor is basically like what would've happened if Madonna didn't p!ss a bunch of people off and if Britney would have had better mental health support during the height of her fame: consistent never ending success in spite of public pushback.

devonedelrey Posted May 22 Posted May 22 Ok, but billies criticism of her being a top polluter was valid her working with an environmental dj does nothing to her case lol as long as she takes 5 minute trips with her jet or releases 40 vinyl variants with each release 4
Taylor fanboy Posted May 22 Posted May 22 Maybe we should get back to talking about her own albums. The hell is Lover doing way above Midnights and 1989?
Magickarp Posted May 22 Posted May 22 Back during Puta I said Oops I Did It Again would've lyrically been such a cunty track after LWYMMD Now i'm kinda seeing WAOLOM pairing well with Circus

Maybe you should have the same energy for you fave. And Billie has like 15 variants The only difference is that Taylor actually sells while the other 2 don't Edited May 22 by TayDuaStan 3
