She will never have good production again as long as she is with that gremlin. This is just something we need to accept.

I jumped straight to Stage 2 tbh. Even though I've been playing the album non-stop since release and it's my most played of the year by far, it's just not clicking with me the way I want it to. I'm gonna do a track-by-track review once I feel like I'm familiar enough with it, but ye, at the moment it doesn't even come close to her greatest albums. OOTW came on random last night and I was like "wooow production!!!!"

I actually went through a phase where I thought the album was a 10 out of 10. But now I actually think the criticism is valid. Now that I'm too used to all the songs, I realized I'm not connected to any of them.

I think it's very hard to relate to most of these songs because they don't have that "universal relatability" factor that most of Taylor's discography has. I do still adore a lot of it lyrically though. It's a commendable departure from all her other work both in terms of poeticness of it and in terms of themes - the album is genuinely dark lyrically, but the production is very light on most songs. But Daddy, The Smallest Man and loml have been stuck in my head since release, but only because of the lyrics.

As if LWYMMD didn't have massive competition with SOY and Despacito

Shape Of You peaked 4-5 months prior to LWYMMD, and Despacito was dropping cause it was already on its 16th week at #1. Those songs weren't a huge threat compared to the points the top songs have been pulling in recent weeks.

By gremlin do you mean Jack or Dessner or both? Cause Jack has producer credits on 16 songs and Dessner on 17 songs. They're split pretty evenly amongst the 31 songs and only share producer credits with each other on 2 of the songs.

Oh I really wonder what the other option for Cassandra's title was. I kinda hope it was Burn the *****, because that's what I've been tempted to re-name it in my Apple Music library :gaycat4:

Don't Blame Me's bridge evolving to Cassandra is something else to witness. I can't get enough of this song. I think it deserves its place as a center piece on the whole Anthology, at least.

If we're branching out from Jack and Aaron, I'd rather she go with new blood entirely.

Idk, somehow I completely relate to "specific" songs like Fortnight, Who's Afraid, The Albatross and Peter but can't connect to my life more "relatable" ones like My Boy, Down Bad, loml and The Prophecy. I don't think that this album is unrelatable or even less relatable then others. Maybe you just look at it through the lense of Taylor too much :coffee:

I am a to-die-for rep stan since 2018, but TTPD got me shaking. I carefully wrote it down as my #1 with a pencil, but will make the final desicion only when Rep TV comes out.

The ALBUM SURVIVOR is active! Most of yall should have already gotten a notification alerting you to this fact, but I was mostly using a pre-existing list of members so I probably missed some of yall (like @Maroon legacy rip).

Hope you'll all come play! :gaycat1:
