The next line hints at a religious metaphor but I think it's a double meaning here. She's alluding to Sisyphus' curse of pushing a rock (or a boulder like in TYA) up a hill only to fall down in Greek mythology = relationship with Toe. What if I let the stone roll and give up already, I'm gonna get crucified and villified anyway for leaving this dull decaying relationship that is doomed to repeat a cycle of boredom and punishment. 8
Michael196 Posted May 17 Posted May 17 It's the release day of the so called album of the year and the main topic still somehow mainly revolves around the queen & king of music. When will anyone understand that they can hand their stan card and leave, it's WAY too crowded around here and they'd be doing us a favor. Also, if anyone hasn't understood since 2019 that Swiftonoff is a package deal that isn't going anywhere until either retires, then it's a you problem. And if she wanted to work with that thing, she would've made him her ***** ever since they bought that sweep, but thank God she's self aware and didn't pollute her impeccable catalogue by involving that tragedy. Lastly, if she hoped on that train in 2020, the Dessner camp wouldn't have entered the Swift multiverse, therefore, go stand in the corner and think about all the masterpieces that wouldn't have existed in that scenario 6 1

But Ratty -> Travis is intergalactic travel basically. 1
Mandalore Posted May 17 Posted May 17 (edited) When I say Taylor is very generous with songwriting credits this is what I mean, the first draft of WAOLOM is basically the whole song cooked and ready to serve. Edited May 17 by Mandalore

I heard The Black Dog memo (originally "Old Habits Die Screaming") and it is the exact same thing 1

And more importantly, her album and TTPD cannot be more different so while everyone and their mother instead of just enjoy the album, they have to mention/drag TTPD on the same breath lol. Like you enjoy your favorite music, lets others enjoy their favorite music. Why have to be so loud and focus on the thing you dont like when your fave just release an album? Like most Swifties on TTPD release day is busy digest and discuss about the album, we dont go on to trash Cowboy Carter or Eternal Sunshine or any other albums for being lesser than TTPD. Not to mention, there`s a lot of THOTS just hide behind the acclaim Billie is getting to drag TTPD lol, 1st they hide behind someone who got any success (Adele`s 25, Miley`s Flower...). But that`s too hard to find nowadays so now they move to acclaim and imaginary impact. It`s truly a mental illness. 4
TaggedGalaxy Posted May 17 Posted May 17 If you know it in one glimpse, it's legendary You and I go from one kiss to gettin married Still alive, killing time at the cemetery Never quite buried In your suit and tie, in the nick of time You lowdown boy, you stand up guy Holy Ghost, you told me I'm The love of your life You said I'm the love of your life About a million times Our field of dreams, engulfed in fire Your arson's match your somber eyes And I'll still see it until I die You're the loss of my life 2
liam13 Posted May 17 Posted May 17 (edited) like i said a week ago, fortnite was dead and we needed the next single but somebody kept holding on to it. i mean i love that for you but sometimes giving up is a strong thing, sometimes to run is the brave thing, sometimes walking out is the one thing that will find you the right thing. SleepingTigers Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Smash 2nd single I Can Do it With a Broken Heart holding steady
YellowRibbon Posted May 17 Posted May 17 (edited) Fortnight dropped less than FOUR percent on Global Spotify yesterday and people are already having meltdowns... It's doing fine for a month old song lmao. In fact, it's one of the very few songs in the upper half of the Top 50 without major autoplay support Edited May 17 by YellowRibbon 3

They're so annoying 2
Michael196 Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Fortnight is doing more than fine, but would've loved if loml or SLL were the lead, like **** the gp but they would be shook if either masterpiece got spammed all over radio… 1
Taylor fanboy Posted May 17 Posted May 17 I hope Down Bad gets more viral. I want that galactic music video. This cliche aesthetic visual is OVERDUE from her. Lavender Haze was a great taste with the flying coi fish. I need a green alien mermaid (Debut) and black woman snake (Duh) meeting the poet normie (TTPD). Give me visuals Queen! 1
