Her greed and charts obsession is so obvious at this point and I hope even die hard swiftie's can see that with this move. She EASILY could've released one digital album + all three bonus memos but her team knows that this will all but solidify keeping number one. Like ms.thing you are holding it for FOUR WEEKS - you couldn't let an artists have the spotlight for literally just one week? Thankfully, even swifties I know irl are agreeing that it's basically pathetic lmao - awards voters will remember it too

THIS. I'm kind of turned off of her this era because the greed is so obvious. I'm so sick of Artists putting out variant after variant after variant after variant just for the numbers.

Except, Billie's words were taken out of context* by publications and people ran with it? Billie had to correct it herself and explain that she also releases color variants and that it's how the game is played to get #1 DEBUTS (emphasis on debut). Being this desperate to block (what many critics will call an objectively better) album on your fifth week is kind of just corny. However, we really don't know what is going to ship when or what the final numbers tally is going to look like, maybe I am wrong in my assumption as to what Taylor's team is doing. It could be they just want to keep stable sales regardless. What her team is doing IS referred to as playing "dirty" in the music industry though. Heavily frowned upon by many of her colleagues.

You know, despite the downvotes and peoples conflicting opinions - I still stay giving EVERY single Taylor project a chance because Folklore is one of my favorite albums of all time. But man, this fanbase can be barbz level of toxic, bitter and petty.

No offense but why do you care about this so much?  I see you bringing up AOTY, you realize Taylor has 4 right? The most out of any artist ever. The Academy won't give her another one until she's like 60 or something  It's Beyoncé you should worry about!

It's not that deep. Only stans care about this stuff. Billie will still likely debut #1 and judging by reviews and general reception probably sweep Grammies like the first time.

I'm not pressed about Beyonce winning AOTY at the Grammys, it's a good album and has a lot of culturally significance. I don't care if Billie actually wins, in fact she probably won't in that category.
