Kyle-x Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Sometimes I cannot stop playing The Bolter for a ridiculous amount of times in a row literally had it on loop for a few hours at work today 1
AnitaFalafel Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 how does this album NOT get old!! I've been listening to other music so as to not exhaust it already but every two or three days i have to go back to it and it always sounds even fresher and better I don't understand how she can make her best album ever 17 years into her career what the hell 4
xperience30 Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 TTPD-The Albatross CD just came and it's so beautiful. 1

I honestly think that plays a role for the more online people. That's a good point, though for me it did the opposite - the added context of Ratty made these songs hit so much harder just because now I could understand how messy and manic and toxic the whole thing was. But then again I'm a Gemini, I live for chaos and drama so 3

Feetree Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 I like hthaze but I'm scared his video will piss me off a bit To be fair ttpd is not an instant classic it takes a while for it to sink in which leaves a mixed first listen (as reflected by the reviews tbh) 1
By the Water Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 It's been very obvious since his Lover reaction that hthaze is a clout chaser that just goes with whatever he thinks the popular opinion is 2 2
DevilsRollTheDice Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 "In the magic fabric of our dreaming" -> "In the tragic fabric of our dreaming" People died! 3 1

I plan to make a dramatic grand return to her discography this Friday (4 weeks since TTPD release). Oh i can already feel Midnights and reputation, the night time album will sounds so good. Oh and her country discography.... 3
Burqa Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 I think this album would've been perfect (and possibly her best) if instead of the midnights sounding songs (specially the alchemy ) it had a three or four more songs like The Black Dog, The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived
Nein Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 The Black Dog might be contender for top 5 songs ever in her discography. It effortlessly destroys me so much. Tonight, again. After I saw my ex again. 5
Nick_317 Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 WERE YOU SENT BY SOMEONE WHO WANTED ME DEAD DID YOU SLEEP WITH A GUN UNDERNEATH OUR BED? WERE YOU WRITING A BOOK? WERE YOU A SLEEPER CELL SPY? In 50 years will all this be declassified? You'll confess why you did it And I'll say GOOD RIDDANCE 1 7
Tusk Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Can she re-record sad beautiful tragic in the style of TTPD and put it on the deluxe? A perfect song to make it even more perfect.
IBeMe Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 I have some weird hope that Taylor is going to try her best to score another #1 from this album because I dont think she wants a Reputation vault track to become her 13th #1 tbh. She will either sabotage herself to not get any #1s until TS12's lead single to make it a big event OR she will do everything in her power to score her 13th #1 single from this album. She is very big on numerical stuff so I hope I am right and she goes all out for one of the future singles from Tortured Poets

Almost as pathetic as a gaylor. Love Taylor's music, but the fandom is something else. 4 1

Dear Reader Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 We will know peace as a fandom once everyone accepts the fact that But Daddy, I Love Him is a career highlight and top 3 on this album. 4 2

Either that or these ppl are picking up on it but just choosing to act like they arent so they can score points of loling at her for certain lyrical choices. Like the amount of ppl taking the charlie puth, chocolate bars and smelling like babies or weed lines so seriously or out of context is WILD AF lol. I genuinely just don't get it Not to sound like an OTH but that Charlie Puth line has no additional artistic or comical merit, other than it Taylor Swift being herself, and documenting her life through her music. The baby//weed line is clever but it just doesn't land well. "Is that a bad thing to say in a song?" is actually funny without it being… hmmm how to describe it, "controversial" lol. 2
NoOneDiesFromLove Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Whenever I listen to the title track I try to ignore every single lyric written in that song 2

I get it but tbh I always took the Charli Puth line as something you say when you are high or just care free with a friend. It adds a level of comfortability with the person she is speaking with. It gives us a glimpse of how silly their convos were and how frivolous everything was to the when they were together. It's kind of one of my favorite quirkie lines of hers tbh and I dont even like Charli Puth lool! something about it makes me giggle especially knowing how dry she tends to be in conversation lol. I can imagine her saying that with a straight face and then she and the RAT bursting into laughter and stuff. It's cute 3
Dear Reader Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 WHAT IF HE'S WRITTEN MINE ON MY UPPER THIGH ONLY IN MY MIIIIND 3
roso Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 This album is gonna be a month old in a few days, time flies. While I instantly loved The Anthologhy, Side A has grown on me so much since I saw it live Top-tier album I fear
