I had to create my own TTPD (scottstreet's Version) on Spotify cause 31 songs is too much, sorry Tay! :deadbanana:

I think it's interesting to look at all the charts globally coming in.

TTPD debuts at #2 in Finland

https://ifpi.fi/lista/albumit/2024/17/

She's robbed of #1 by KUUMAA which is the biggest band in Finland and they released an album the same week

:clack:

However, only folklore and Midnights have gone #1 in the country, and her efforts before barely went top 5

On the Singles Chart, Fortnight debuts at #17.

https://ifpi.fi/lista/singlet/2024/17/

Rest of the tracks (the Singles Chart only contains the top 50 tracks of the week):

#39 So Long, London

#46 Down Bad

#47 ICDIWABH

#48 TTPD

#49 MBOBHFT

While Anti-Hero was able to debut top 10 (at #10) on the Singles Chart, this is her FIRST album bomb. In comparison, her only charting singles previously have been her lead singles (AH, LWYMMD, SIO, WANEGBT).

All in all, her power seems to have grown:deadbanana2: She's undoubtedly the biggest foreign artist in a country where she was a non-factor not a few years back.

A famous radio here in Italy, called radio kiss kiss (6th bigger radio network in 2023) after 5 years randomly put Lover (song) for the first time in their playlist from this week.

Oh loser always wins whatever we like it or not.

Just spent the evening reading all the crying on reddit when people started to realize that some of the songs on folklore and evermore are about Matty. Oh, the denial is so entertaining! Personally I don't care who the songs are about but it's just fun to watch people cry about cardigan, ivy and such being tainted. And Peter really is such a beautiful counterpart to cardigan. In Taylor's mind James and Betty would end up together (that's what she said on long pond studio sessions) because she was holding out hope that she and Matty might reconnect sometime in the future but now Peter tells us how it really ended.

The ways she sings "but the story isn't mine anymore" gives me chills...the scary kind :weeps:

I doubt she will put TTPD on the Eras tour. Most of those songs are impossible to sing live :deadbanana2: I just tried some of them and I almost passed out

It has beautiful lyrics but it sounds more like a poem than a song, I find it hard to listen to very often  :gaycat6:

I still think she ended up writing this album about Matty because Harry wasn't available as rebound.

The simple melody just WORKS for me, it's hard to explain. It's the same reason i'm such a massive fan of Epiphany.
