And in a blink of a crinklin' eye

I'm sinkin', our fingers entwined

Cheeks pink in the twinklin' lights

Tell 'bout the first time you saw me

I'll drink what you think and I'm high

From smokin' your jokes all damn night

The brink of a wrinkle in time

Bittersweet sixteen suddenly

'Cause I feel so high school every time I look at you

I wanna find you in a crowd just to hide from you

What kind of SATANIC WITCHCRAFT :suburban:

I CANNOT STOP STREAMING IT :suburban:

And i wonder do crictics hear the album before us? Like did label send out the albums in advance for them?

Why the hell they can write those thinkpieces in 1 day? Like at least a good 3 bussiness days before you can form an opinion on a long complex project like this. I get it if non-fans dont want to listen more if theres no bops they want. But crictics should.

If Taylor sent a singular song in a locked briefcase I highly doubt she lets out early review copies, I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of early reviews were from the leaks cause otherwise wouldn't she have sent the anthology?

Someone said

"You smoked then ate 7 bars of Chocolate"

Is about Matty smoking and then playing part of his song Chocolate so well that Taylor was like "you ATE babe" :deadbanana4:

And I don't believe them but I had to share

When you do the math on how huge her 800k+ $50 vinyl sales week is, in terms of setting it equivalent to CD/digital sales, it becomes clear that this is the biggest album release of all time by a huge margin, even if it falls short of the individual units record :deadbanana2: I even looked at unreliable pre-SoundScan "records" allegedly set by artists like The Beatles and MJ. What a monumental release - and the week isn't even done!

I'm pretty sure even just those 800K vinyls alone constitute the highest revenue sales week of all time, even adjusted for inflation.

So what I'm hearing is she's made more than enough to buy a million digital downloads and cds

The way that "The Prophecy" not only has Sufjan Stevens vibes sonically, but also channels the same forever-alone-and-desperate-to-be-loved energy as "Will Anybody Ever Love Me?" (My favorite song of 2023 after Timeless).

I am deeply UNWELL.

Wonder how they will choose the next single :deadbanana:

The favorites keep changing everyday

First it's Down Bad, then I Can Do It With A Broken Heart, and now Guilty as Sin

Think she will end up releasing 3 singles this era, like Midnights

Down Bad and ICDIWABH can fight for second single, but I need GAS as the final single, and the one which keeps lingering on radio during Grammy voting period to remind the voters she has that edge

that doesn't seem like an esp Grammy friendly song. I remember for 1989 it was out of the woods.

I might never forgive her for not giving us a catchier chorus after the OFFENSIVE melody that this is:

But you're in self-sabotage mode
Throwing spikes down on the road
But I've seen this episode and still loved the show
