Cassandra is majestic. The chorus is 5th century's best song. :heart2:

Mind you, the entire album is still occupying 31 out of the Top 40 spots on Apple Music Argentina & Brazil... A Latin Smash!

Omg not Down Bad become a widow anthem😭😭😭😭😭 noonooo. This made me so sad.

Now I'm down bad, crying at the gym
Everything comes out teenage petulance
F—k it if I cant have him.
I might just die it would make no difference.
Down bad waking up in blood
Staring at the sky, come back and pick me up
F—k it if I cant have us
I might not just get up, I might stay down bad
F—k it if I cant have him

I am dreaming or Midnights opened with like 300k in Brazil? So this should make more.

Yes and literally the 0.0000000000000000000000001% of the humanity cares if Taylor Swift posts reviews on her account or not. Most people on earth have lives, babies, dogs and Jobs.

"The death rattle breathing, silenced, as the soul was leaving-"

What a verse :jonny:

The way she sings this, I picture her smothering her dying relationship with a pillow with gritted teeth

:jonny:

Can someone please help to explain what does she mean with this part?

I have been looking everywhere but no answer. In How did it end? Why those people call their cousins?

And fell victim to interlopers' glances
Lost the game of chance, what are the chances?
Soon they'll go home to their husbands
Smug 'cause they know they can trust him
Then feverishly calling their cousins (ohh)

I took it as they'll go home and gossip about the break-up it even more and spread it.

Acting smug that their love is stable unlike hers while secretly being worried about it to others

For me The Bolter and The Albatross are the best songs of The Anthology, but I don't know which one I like better

So I've had some time to sat down and listen to the album to see if my initial reaction changed and the songs I liked at first I don't even like them that much anymore.

I feel Taylor has found a comfort zone working with Jack and she doesn't push herself lyrically not melodically as much anymore.

It's odd but not surprising that I've been enjoying the vault tracks more than the newer studio albums sans a few Midnight tracks.

I sometimes wish Swifties didn't mass buy everything she releases because I would love for her to have that creative urge to prove something again.

Speak Now, Red, 1989, Reputation, Folkore, they all shared that 'I've got something to prove' sort of feeling and I'm hoping Taylor can tap into that mindset in the future. Perhaps we do need a commercial decline for Taylor to take us into her next disruptive chapter artistically speaking.

I can feel it coming, humming in the way you move
Push the reset button, we're becomin' something new
Say you got somebody, I'll say I got someone too
Even if it's handcuffed, I'm leavin' here with you
Bygones will be bygone, eras fadin' into gray (Fading into gray)
We broke all the pieces, but still wanna play the game (Oh)
Told my friends I hate you, but I love you just the same

Pick your poison, babe, I'm poison either way

I think this album would've been received better if the tracklist was sorted in terms of storyline.

THANK YOU. It's the one I keep going back to. It's her storytelling ability at its finest.

Respectfully i dont get your post.

You mention she doesnt push herself lyrically and melodically as much which is not true at all objectively.

Maybe this new change doesnt suit your taste and thats perfectly ok. But theres a change in lyric and melody style in this album unarguably. You just dont enjoy it.
