kayliah Posted April 22 Share Posted April 22 (edited) Yeah dessner's work was good not stellar. He was right to say the album was good. Antonoff's work is ok to bad . It was like he was just phoning it in using mastermind's beats and all. Dessner's melodies were subpar and ok but nothing memorable. All in all i agree with Pitchfork's reviews. All songs are quite the same but nothing is offensively boring as I expected to be since we have 31 songs and I am not a fan of this type of production. I feel like she adopted this very specific descriptive lyricism that Lana uses, but with Lana it works, with Taylor it's usually cringe. I Can Do It With Broken Heart is definitely a stand out, and I am going to be listening to that one again, rest I'm not sure. She said his man Is drunk and was High and overexcited (eat Seven bars of chocolate) so they were saying "random things". From the description i can Imagine a scene where Charlie puth comes on radios and they say this thing and then they laugh at It. If nothing the lyrics i don't like Is the One about the tattoo but what's wrong about a Charlie puth reference. I don't care? Like all I see is people seething, coping, and having meltdowns upon meltdowns because someone they don't like is the most popular in the world and stomping on whoever it is that they like (which I sometime let get to me for a hot minute before coming to my senses). Meanwhile I'm (we're) out here, delighted by what was just given to us, trying to really take it all in, having fun at the gigantic success and awaiting the new Eras Tour shows.
