Look at the PERSONALITY Hack removed from this sing, & replaced with his same reused beats.

I hope TTPD gives me instruments in the (demo) version over (Re: Jack Antonoff). Aaron saved Hits Different :allears:

I had this idea a few days ago that Post Malone on the first track was likely to guarantee a streaming smash given the first track is usually the one with a lot of streams, which could indicate that the rest of the tracklisting/sequence isn't as "pop" or not as commercially ready. I have no real reason to believe that but it's something I thought about which makes me wonder about the direction

I also don't want to predict or get too many hopes up bc it could really be anything. The snippets so far sound good to me though :cupid:

I have listened the leak. 100% not Taylor 2023- 2024 voice. Sounds like her 2016-2017 voice.

Actually if we think about it, The One is the most pop song on Folklore and Willow received remixes as a pop single, these are both the first tracks of their respective albums

That Fortnight leak sounds kind of real tbh. “Never made it clear, never made it right” sounds very Taylor. I’m kind of gutted that if it’s real the album is likely pop again. I guess it’s catchy af though.

The verses are good and have a lot of personality but that chorus is poison

The Record Store Day exclusives were announced today (RSD is on Saturday of her release week) and Taylor does not have any. It's also been almost 2 weeks since she announced the album and she hasn't revealed another variant or even brought back the special collectors edition. :ninja:

Maybe she's giving this album the lowkey treatment and won't go all out with the variants like she did with 'Midnights'.

alskjdf wait I didn't know that

I mean even still though my main point is the first track is likely the "single" or as close to it as possible, so that makes sense to make it a collaboration with another pop artist (also one on the same label so maybe there's that motive too)

she did 4 variante for the latest Taylor's Version (the 1989 one), in no way will she give inferior treatment to a new studio album at her commercial peak

I mean:

Bebe Rexha - Bebe (Released April 28th, 2023) = 1,521,990,342 (+1,538,210)

Post Malone - AUSTIN (Released July 28th, 2023) = 1,116,519,583 (+2,338,896)

At current rate, it would take Post Malone's album 1.5 years to outstream Bebe Rexha's album released only 3 months before his. We know Bebe's album is kinda carried by one song, but this was an unthinkable scenario just 3 years ago when his albums broke longevity records and were very likely 10B+ streamers contenders the minute they came out :rip:

Ugh she’s just so annoying for not doing singles anymore. Like it’s so beneath her or something. As if she’s going to be short on bops!

Posted (edited)

First singles can absolutely suck the wind out of the sails of an album campaign if people aren't feeling it (ie. Yes, And?).

And knowing Taylor, the first single would be terrible. :thing:

Edit: Also, I just heard the Fortnight clip. Is that not obviously AI? :giraffe:

I made peace with the fact we wont get pre album singles anymore and tbh it makes sense. Lead singles can literally kill an era's hype. Remember Meth!? It did lots of damage to Lover tbh. Had she had a solid lead the record would have likely debuted with 1M but instead it did like 850k laregly because of the lead. Also look at Ari...she essentially wasted the hype she had on "Yes And" and now a lot of ppl's anticipation for the record has died down...she's a big enough name for fans to still explore the record first week for sure but it will for sure hamper her albums full potential.
