HappierJealousy Posted February 15 Posted February 15 ME! is lowkey becoming her best lead single tbh 1 3
NoOneDiesFromLove Posted February 15 Posted February 15 I have a feeling the title track is going to be the lead single Spoiler (unless she surprise announces I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can) as the lead single tomorrow)

The title track is really wordy, this doesn't scream radio smash. And if there's one thing I'm sure is that she'll release a song that's going to be played to ******* hell on the radio as the first single.
smholiv Posted February 15 Posted February 15 Down Bad has single vibes to me, aside from the obvious Fortnight

It aint even just a strategy, it saves her the trouble of potentially choosing the wrong single as she could’ve in many cases. she was initially gonna make lavender haze the first single instead of AH, and for 1989tv she was gonna choose sluf! instead of iion. We saw all the leaks from the radio stations about how she pulled sluf! from their stations Just weeks prior to release, and told them they’ll see which song gets the most streams first. im sure with her current all-in-one-go 1

West Coast Posted February 15 Posted February 15 we need a lead single. I'm tired of not getting anything until the album, we want a real ERA 1

Well, we’ll just have to make up that loss by tuning in for the Spotify records, __out of 10 on hot100, and album track numbers instead. With her being as big as she is, there’s really no way that an early single could keep every morbidly curious individual excited enough to also check out the album. Much better these very casual listeners contribute their streams for the album format than on a single.
joannna Posted February 15 Posted February 15 I'm going to need the tracklist production to look like this 1. Swift - Antonoff - Dessner 2. Swift - Antonoff - Dessner 3. Swift - Antonoff - Dessner 4. Swift - Antonoff - Dessner 5. Swift - Antonoff - Dessner 6. Swift - Antonoff - Dessner 7. Swift - Antonoff - Dessner 8. Swift - Antonoff - Dessner 9. Swift - Antonoff - Dessner 10. Swift - Antonoff - Dessner 11. Swift - Antonoff - Dessner 12. Swift - Antonoff - Dessner 13. Swift - Antonoff - Dessner 14. Swift - Antonoff - Dessner 15. Swift - Antonoff - Dessner 16. Swift - Antonoff - Dessner 17. Swift - Antonoff - Dessner i don't GET why they refuse to work together. Hits Different is otherworldly.

Well I am just cautiously optimistic for the first time Midnights anticipation damaged me and then 1989tv vault well I am just hoping for some moment and promotion so we can see something new and my confidence can rebuild like pre Midnights 1

Maroon legacy Posted February 15 Posted February 15 (edited) When do we usually get producers list and track lengths? Like a week before release? Edited February 15 by Maroon legacy

DevilsRollTheDice Posted February 15 Posted February 15 I hope we get music videos. Obviously the MV effect has diminished over the years (I work in higher education and was SHOCKED when many students told me they have never watched music videos, even massive fans of Taylor who have never seen BLANK SPACE ), but visuals are still nice. Kinda concerning that 1989TV got nothing. Still have my tinfoil hat theory that a “Slvt!” video exists and she shelved it after IION became the single, though

meredithbenson Posted February 15 Posted February 15 fortnite will be a single for sure, she knows that putting the single in Track 1 will help with streaming numbers. but the question is if there will be a different lead single, from later in the album, then fortnite will be the release single. (i think no different lead single)
