P!nk Posted April 18 Posted April 18 When people throw around the word "bop", are we saying it is upbeat? Or is the album slow to mid-tempo at best?

I only listened to 3 songs but I love The Alchemy. it's so cute and tayvis coded. I did not want a whole album of ratty healy. but from what I see most fans don't like the alchemy
Cruel Summer Posted April 18 Posted April 18 1 minute ago, P!nk said: When people throw around the word "bop", are we saying it is upbeat? Or is the album slow to mid-tempo at best? The album is mostly midtempo. There's basically one notably upbeat track.

Venice B Posted April 18 Posted April 18 (edited) But Daddy I Love Him is the best one so far Her delivery reminds me of her country days but not only that the lyrics are also really bold for her... the way this is basically a F YOU letter to her fans Edited with spoiler tags because idk Edited April 18 by Venice B 3

For me, a bop is a good midtempo to uptempo song that makes you move. Internet lexicon kind made the term bop mean as "good song I like" though. I won't ever call a ballad a BOP.

justin. Posted April 18 Posted April 18 My one critique of the album is But Daddy, I Love Him. I love that she's dragging her fans for their parasocial relationships… but defending Matty Healy? Ick. 2

lovatos Posted April 18 Posted April 18 I think her main problem is that she doesn't have anyone to challenge her in the recording studio. There is maybe a good album in there if you remove some of the songs and fine-tune the production and the lyrics. The album is too much, yet nothing, at the same time.
19SLAYty9 Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Fresh out the slammer is so beautiful. There is such an rich atmosphere to the production 1

Like I'm on track 9 right now and I feel like the songs are very full in the sense that there's always something going on, there's no room for breath and let things sink in, but at the same time they don't feel GRAND. There are no emotions being evoked. It's a weird album, I can't pinpoint what's going on tbh 2 2
