The first 4 songs are deluxe tracks that were added on top of the tracklist

10 album listens later and I still stand by statement

Honestly Midnights and TTPS are so distinctive, people called it same because they see Jack produced most of the song so they jumped to the conclusion. If anything this is closer to evermore than Midnights which is why some people say the album lacks of hits or bops:celestial5:

Then why is Evermore my second fav Taylor album and PTSD is bottom 4?
This is closer to Midnights/3AM/1989 Vault to me and lots of people, pretty much just because of Jack

Some of yall sound like this:

The album reminds me of Teenage Dream mixed with thank u next.
This is basically just Joanne 2.0.

Witness and folklore had a threesome with Midnights.

This album is not that close to evermore or folklore, there are literal bombastic, booming, thunderous climactic choruses. I feel like I'm going crazy seeing how poorly people describe this album to others that haven't heard it yet :deadbanana4:

Yeah I'm going a bit feral, foaming at the mouth at some of these descriptions :ryan3:

IT'S SO HOOK-Y AND Y'ALL ARE INCAPABLE OF HEARING IT :ryan3:

Who's Afraid Of Big Reputation? is so sinister, dramatic, camp, etc. etc.

I hope it ages well.

1989 TV took quite a while to grow on me so you guys are scaring me quite badly.

WAOLOM delivered just as I thought it would. A career highlight on first listen let alone on a second :jonny5:

Idk about y'all but to me the similarities between TTPD and Midnights + 1989 TV end after Track 5 :deadbanana2:

The first 4 tracks are very reminiscing of Midnights but the rest is very sonically expansive, to me, at least.

She said y'all listened to the L-word, so I'm going to make you WAIT for something again!

I Can Fix Him is also very good. I think this one will be a major grower but right now it's outside of the top 10.

They're not direct quotes they're hyperbolic extrapolations meant to highlight the lack of musical references a lot of people have. This album's closest relatives are "I like it when you sleep.." by the 1975, "Ceremonials" by Florence + The Machine, and Cigarettes After Sex self titled. With a little CHVRCHES and Lana thrown in for good measure.  :gaycat6: But it's asking too much of ATRLers to not just hear Jack antonoff and name his most recent work with Taylor.
