I would draw the exact opposite conclusion. No need to announce variants while the OG is still selling well.

I just know the other variants will include a different bonus track in each one, that's why she hasn't revealed them yet :ryan3:

THIS is why I’m impatient. I need my one and only Swift theory to be proven right

Yeah, she's probably waiting until sales of the original slow to a certain number per day before announcing the next variant

I'm claiming WAOLOM
But this whole tracklist is superior, every track ins interesting by the title or by the feature:alexz2:

I need So Long, London to be a long (5 min+) heartbreaking ballad/mid tempo, it's track 5 so it has a lot to live up to inb4 it sounds like London Boy

We all know her store can't get it together to ship different variants in time if she announces them the week of release (or even a month before). I wish she'd drop them.

Posted

i think the reason she's not announced the variants is that the tracklist leak ruined her plans

it was probably supposed to be something like this

Feb 5: TTPD announcement

February 19: Tracklist reveal

April 10: Variant release

or sth.

besides The Eras Tour, nothing is going on at the moment, and she'd have to spread out the reveals and announcements to keep us thirsting and hyped.

At least he got tortured with reputa

:ryan3:

the problem with him is that he does have genuinely interesting and thought-provoking takes on her artistry and celebrity but that gets boggled down by how combative, sanctimonious and pious he comes across. he claims to have created a space for free-thinking swifties but then shuts down anyone that disagrees with him/criticizes his takes. i was an avid watcher but the GODnights smear campaign really turned me off

Spoiler

would've loved to see his meltdown when GODnights conquered :ryan3:

does he really shut down anyone who disagrees with him? how? i've continously roasted him in the comments section and he never deleted my comments. some rabid Swifties go for blood, and that puts him in defense mode, especially because he keeps dragging the TVs, but i think he's one of the most interesting commentators. oh and his Godnights smear campaign made me seethe but i guess you can't force everyone to see the light, and he seemed genuinely happy when she won.

BTW hey girls!!!!

i'm originally a Britney stan, but i've been a huge Taylor fan since Red, and became an air conditioner during the folklore and evermore hurricane. i've loved loved and bought all of her albums (Red, 1989, reputation, Lover, folklore, evermore, Midnights) and i've been rediscovering her old albums (Fearless, SN) through the rerecordings. i literally stopped listening to Britney since 2020 because Taylor just took over my world and heart, but i still have a soft spot for Britney especially bc of everything she's been through and i decidedly pretend like her Instagram account doesn't exist.

i love the girlies in here and i'll be chatting and ranting with you because my bf doesn't like Taylor's music :toofunny3: he likes Blank Space and Maroon, so he has taste there's a chance there somewhere for him to get indoctrinated into Swiftism, but he has ADHD which means he cannot listen a whole album from beginning to end.....

it's more from his twitter than his comments section. he can write stuff in a tone that i think comes across very condescending and demeaning. he can also frustrate me with how dismissive he speaks of other fans with different opinions than him - an example is how he talks about lover. perfectly valid to not like it, but i get tired of constantly hearing how he's a true intellectual and a more valid swiftie because he dislikes it and prefers over albums. another example is the way he delivers his opinions about the re-recordings. it doesn't bother me that he still listens to the originals, but it does bother me how dismissive he is of people who will only consume the new ones out of principle. i guess i just don't vibe with the didactic tone that he delivers his opinions with. and i agree with someone else here who said that it is hypocritical to constantly dismiss swifties while also making a profit off of swiftie content.

happy that's not the vibe you've gotten from him though!

it literally changes every 13 minutes.

as of now...

1. evermore

2. folklore

3. Red

4. reputation

5. 1989

6. Midnights (usually in my top 3 but i've played it to literal death)

7. Speak Now

8. Fearless

9. Lover (genuinely love this album, it's phenomenal and the highs are monumental, but it's just not her strongest for me).

i still haven't listened debut as a whole, waiting for the TV.

you gave winner her flowers so i cannot be too mad! great taste!!

i wonder ~ you said you were rediscovering albums like fearless and peak now through the re-records? peak now is my second fav and i genuinely think it is a brilliant album, but i also think i have a lot of nostalgia for it and that era of being a swiftie that might influence my love for it!

Spoiler

still better than red tho :ryan3:

i feel like Speak Now, like Reputation, is a "you just HAD to be there" kind of album, and i was there for Rep but not SN, so that's why it's not clicking as much for me.

it mostly has to do with Mine. like how do you look past Enchanted, Mean, Dear John, Last Kiss, Ours, and Superman, and go for one of the weakest songs to represent such a solid album? :deadbanana2: it really was her first ME! and it threw me off back then. WENGBT made me interested enough to buy Red, and when i bought Red... when i tell you i was FLOORED.

i like SN now and only listen to TV, but i feel like her matured vocals (which i love) don't do the punky raunchy vibe justice as OG did (i listened to it a few weeks before TV came out).
