However this one, im going to have to scratch my head sometimes she was just venting to a beat going on and on. Hope it grows on you.

I think it will *really* resonate for some and not others lol I love this album and loved it on initial listen. But I totally see why others won't like it. And I think many of the others who are stanning the album already can also see why others might not like it. For me, this is sonically the album I wanted her to make with Midnights and more what I was expecting from the visuals she was promoting with, so I am happy I got the album that I coined as full of more of the sounds that I gravitate towards in her discography. But I do think she needs to explore new sounds with new producers, because I absolutely can capture a melody or a production choice used in a song and it takes my mind to another song that was released prior. So I get that criticism as well. 1

It kind of sounds like it could be in the wake of either relationship the rest of the album is about - or even both - since the focus is more about her powering through than about who it was or what happened between them.

I loved black dog though a lot an interesting direction she should have gone for... a softrock and alternative rock record.

Cloröx Posted April 18 Posted April 18 2 minutes ago, saintjude said: yall get down so easily tbh i expect nothing less than 85 This is better than Midnights but I do feel like critics will drag it a bit because she's overexposed right now and people are tired of Jack production, people want something different but she keeps repeating the same thing over and over again. That Charli line is a small mistake but it can bring huge impact on the album as whole. 1

Cruel Summer Posted April 18 Posted April 18 I can see the parallels to Midnights, but more than a few are just because it's Taylor Swift doing pop music. I think this album definitely has its own distinctive flavor within her discography.

Midnights is her best produced album. Maroon alone is greatly produced... this one seems to be not rushed but lazy like she did not try hard or worked hard enough on the melodies or came up with great hooks. I mean the album is a bit of a misfire. 2
19SLAYty9 Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Can someone make a tracklist of the songs in chronological order
