The Travis album needs to be done by someone other than Jack or Aaron.

Also ILTWYTM and Hozier fell 1million each on global from yesterday to today, while everything else is pretty much the same numbers and Sabrina keep rising. Weird update.

To be honest, I think she has lost her ability to write a good pop melody. Midnights and 1989 TV Vault tracks are clear signs of that. Unfortunately the Fortnight AI snippet has a more memorable hook than any of the songs here

In general it's about traveling to another city while getting over someone and using that experience to fuel your rejuvenation. For Taylor it's probably the specific stop of the Eras Tour where she started to feel decent again after her breakup with Joe, she is writing about siphoning the energy from Florida for her spirit

As a standalone album, without taking into account Taylor's previous albums, this is probably a 7 out of 10 album, it feels like she's soft launching into reading poems to quirky The Sims-like beats by Jack Antonoff cause the singing-talking is literally everywhere in the album, but it's a cohesive, well produced piece of work. There's some really good songs in there like Favorite Toys or Loml and the collabs are nice too, but a decent chunk of the album is sleep inducing.

After Lover, folklore, evermore, Midnights and some of The Vault songs having similar melodies, similar vocals, cadences and production tricks, I feel like this is a 4/10, cause you can find literally every song in the album but with a different title and better all around Taylor's discography. She really needs to stay away from Antonoff and Aaron Dessner

I can't believe she released this album. It's so bland and ... not good. Might switch after listening tomorrow in great quality but I doubt. WHAT was she thinking, all these slow ballads one after another. Jack's production is terrible and tired af on this one :deadbanana4:

That said, But Daddy I Love Him is one of her best songs ever. It will truly shine tomorrow :heart2: THANK YOU Aaron!

Highlights: TTPD, So Long London, But Daddy I Love Him, Florida!!!, I Can Do It With a Broken Heart

And that's kinda it idk :rip: "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me" is ME!th level of cringe btw.

People were making AI songs about their relationship and I was like oh she wouldn't make those kinds of lyrical decisions, but then The Alchemy showed up and proved me wrong.
