Klein Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Now, I gotta say loml should have been the track 5. The last line of the album gave me literal chills on first listen, even though I ******* expected it to come at some point. 1

kayliah Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Black dog is a highlight. Why are her bonus tracks better than the album tracks. I cant with her...
Jaspurr Posted April 18 Posted April 18 I don't like the folklore/Midnights comparisons since the album mostly has country storytelling and a lot of country pop choruses. It's actually where the heart of the record pulses. 2

It's her final grappling with the end of the relationship after her attempts to avoid that have failed. I am just glad Taylor brough back breakup songs for tracks 5 instead of the string of self doubt songs.
OnlyManInTheWorld Posted April 18 Posted April 18 My very initial rank: 01. Down Bad 02. But Daddy I Love Him 03. My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys 04. Fortnight 05. I Can Do It with a Broken Heart 06. Florida!!! 07. Guilty as Sin 08. Who's Afraid of Little Old Me 09. The Tortured Poets Department
kayliah Posted April 18 Posted April 18 I feel this will pull an evermore though and maybe get an AOTY nomination but nothing else and grow within the fanbase.
Rep2000 Posted April 18 Posted April 18 This is not helping. I'm turning all my devices off for the next 17h45 mins.

Nintendoes Posted April 18 Posted April 18 The quotes Swifties once again proved themselves to be one of, if not the worst fanbase on earth. 1
Karmaisacat Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Fortnight gives absolutely nothing though Queen remains awful at picking singles

It will get at least an aoty and pop vocal nomination but likely no wins . And that's fine. She set the record for most AOTYs. She doesn't need anymore grammys except maybe eventually SOTY. 1

I always find her tracklists a bit messy but she really did things right this time. I was talking more in the sense of being the most emotionally charged song on the album. The loml -> I Can Do It With A Broken Heart transition truly caught me off guard the first time though.
TayDuaStan Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Yeah, this is getting AOTY. Cowboy Carter & Eternal Sunshine are not even close to the quality of TTPD. Sorry but this is the truth 1 1 1
sneakyishere Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Wait, I'm so shocked at all of the opinions online? To me this is her best album
omrimayo Posted April 18 Posted April 18 As much as I think Fortnight will flop, I must say I love it today.

badidearight Posted April 18 Posted April 18 every fan base has bigoted trolls but people always pretend it's just swifties anyway, current obsession is the black dog

Idk I feel like she is definitely the front runner for AOTY. She is probably debuting with over 2M and that's without the streaming stats. I don't think anyone will or should ignore such a feat. Whether she wins or or not depends on Billie's album.

I see it mostly with Swifties and Barbz because they have huge, loud fanbases on twitter but there is a really disgusting transphobic issue on stan twitter for sure (apart from general twitter as well obviously)
