I'm a lover and rep stan :bird:

I get such heavy reputation vibes from Down Bad and The Alchemy.

Yeah theres not a big maximalist "pop" moment here… the closest we get is I Can Do It With A Broken Heart.

But even as a diehard 1989 apologist… I can't be mad because the songs are amazing.

That is my current fave from the album. Guilty as sin is a runner up :bird:

Guilty as Sin might be one of the greatest songs of all time.. I'm obsessed.

Also, "The Black Dog" deserved to be on the album. Honestly it could've replaced Clara Bow and been a hoax moment

Loml must be about joe, it cant be about that jehovas witness suit guy lol

Also not her thinking everyone who criticized her dating a racist were only white pearl clutching women....shes so messy, anyway down bad and waoom are the only standout tracks sadly

  • She drags Matty plenty in I can fix him (where she calls herself out for thinking that he can fix him and the jokes are referenced) and Smallest Man where she really goes after him.
  • Her point in the song isn't that people can't hate on her bf but her relationships are her business and also how the hatred actually initially brought them closer together.

loml is placed between the two songs since she realizes at the end   "I can fix him" that he actually just sucks so she goes back to grapplying with the of her relationship of Joe instead of sticking to the escapist rebound.

THE BLACK IS THE BEST SONG FROM TTPD. I KNOW THATS RIGHT. I LOVE SEEING THE BLACK DOG PRAISE.

The only minus i have with the album as of now is that the word salad on some songs is just worse than ever, even worse than on evermore. Sorry but i sometimes miss Taylor's pre-folklore lyricism :suburban:

@Dear Reader, Are your reactions to my post really necessary?

get over yourself, it's just some online points :rip: are you going to enquire every user who's going to react to your posts?

anyway, I love Jack Antonoff, I hope he's having a great day

The slow, staggered pace of Fortnight is so good. Taylor is kinda slowly becoming an artist with great music to consume while.. h!gh :nicole:

I really think everything from Fresh Out The Slammer to The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived is for Matty :chick3:

I'm unsure on But Daddy I Love Him… but that could very well be a Matty track too.
