I think the choice of lyrics on the chorus feels very Travis… "touch down" is a big hint.

Begin Again has a thematic sister!

It's also such a jubilant love song at the end of a sad, angry album. LOTS of a football references, too.

Yes!! I agree it's this album's Begin Again!

I can't hold it in anymore. This is everything I've ever wanted from a Taylor album. It's amazing. This skyrockets into my top 3, and if I'm being candid it will by vying for #1 based on how it ages.

Yeah I was in disbelief over how great it was… listening to the full thing was such an experience last night.

I'm so, so, so happy with it.

I think there's an adjustment period that happens after the first full listen, it's a sonic shift for her into some climaxes and build ups and rage and frustration and candor that we're not entirely used to from her writing. I think this is the most forthcoming she's been about a lot of things in her music.. ever.

I feel like anger is truly the dominant emotion on this record and I truly wasn't expecting that.

The comments about NEEDING to write this album were really not fake. Girl was FRUSTRATED and had to get things out her chest.

The way she eviscerated us on But Daddy I Love Him is one for the ages. :jonny5:

If I could go back in time and tell the 2015 me I'd get this exact sound I love from her, I'd die of anticipation before I could live to see the day :dies: Never in my wildest dreams would I have dreamed this up.

I'm not listening until release but I'm reading all the reactions and I am DYING :jonny5:

Took a blow when someone called it Midnights 2.0 but now I'm right back up with hype, I'm not gonna survive these last 20 hours

There's elements of moody, atmospheric synthpop here… but that's honesty about it?

I promise you this is leagues better than Midnights.

Sorry, Taylor. You're my fave, but I still can't get into this album.

Is it because I listened to Eternal Sunshine so much this past month that I can't listen to a song without a great hook anymore?

Hope this grow on me.

We need to make her even ANGRIER for TS12. Everyone start harassing Travis' Instagram comments NOW!

The album is a grower, give it time. It doesn't seem to be -instant- in the same way pop albums usually can be. It's a slow burn, and it needs room to breathe and sprawl its vast sonic expanse across the sensory landscape of your mind & soul.

Now I'm scared to ask this but.... Does Florence have actual vocals or did she get SOTB'd? :(

I love the slow motion, warbled verse delivery in ICDIWABHeart that leads into a pumped up, uptempo chorus. It truly puts us in her head.

I've made up my mind, there's no single bad songs in TTPD. My only complain is that Charli Puth line which is tacky. In contrast, MIDnights has five fillers.

Baby she has a verse and TON of vocals she trades with Lord for the song.

I honestly feel the same way.

Easily her most sophisticated "pop" album… although I'm not even sure if I can call it that?

Whatever genre you want to categorise it into - it's f*cking beautiful. What an album.

Thank you.

folklore and evermore are instant classics to me, so I can't understand why I can't get into this album quickly enough.

But I will keep listening

She gets her moment, their voices compliment each other, definitely Top 3 in the album
