She needs to be humbled and finally switch things up. Time to get rid of HACK.

It seems to wash Midnights with ease and that got an 85, so high 80s at least, maybe a 90

Renaming Fortnight, to I Love You, It's Ruining My Life, sorry. It's just so Shawn Mendes coded.

Well, yes. That is the purpose of keeping Jack around.

i thought we were getting red 2.0 but everyone is saying midnights 2.0 so ill probably wont get into the album

dont blame her for making more commercial music though now she is at her peak, she needs to capitalise on it

But yes u will stan Who's Afraid

F0Z0fsr.gif

listen, I don't wanna have to do the whole shpiel I did the other day in that thread about stanning people less than I used to and how as a songwriter I have a complicated relationship with Taylor's music again… so RELATIVELY, to a lot of her discography, those songs are somewhat profound lmao obviously I'm not insinuating that she's ever pulled a Baby Birch or an A Coral Room outta that blonde head of hers

F0Z0fsr.gif

and yass can't wait! I love that title, I've been meaning to check out Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? for awhile now cause I hear that movie is a classic too

I don't see the midnights comparison except for maybe the first three tracks. It's more akin to Red imo. But daddy i love him is literally a fearless/Speak now influenced track and the sounds keeps evolving from there till the album finishes.

Why are we thinking it's about Matty?

If u go in & expect synths u won't be disappointed.

I was pissed when i first finished it, but now that i've gone through ACCEPTANCE, it's her 8th best album. May contend with 7th, who knows.

To the Midnights discourse: only the first 3 tracks are giving Midnights, 4 if you're pushing. After that the albums expands so much and some of the songs are probably her most experimental work yet.

Midnights was very instant and very commercial for me compared to TTPD. I'm having to listen multiple times to properly digest this because there are very few tracks which are simple to follow.

it should be her top 3 based on the album title but well we all know she likes to make something sonically different from what the title suggests :gaycat6:

i kinda knew it, the titles are unusual and the track lengths are not listener friendly either so thats why i said before the lead will probably only be a 1 week #1
