i think she makes it pretty clear on so long, london what happened between the two of them. she didn't feel like he was all in on the relationship for multiple reasons and decided to call it off. she makes pretty clear, she was the one that broke up.

"you said i abandoned the ship but i was going down with it. just how low did you think I'd go 'fore I'd self implode? before I'd have to go be free?"

nnnn I put it in there for you

It has a distinctive and melodically pleasing chorus, something the iHeart programmers crave more than anything (I fear it's much stronger than Fortnight's)

This is the woman who sent "WANEGBT" to radio... she's fearless.mp3 with single title choices

The years not over yet and there's a long way to go but this isn't even top 3 albums I've heard so far this year. The lyrics are great (as always) but it drags sonically.

I mean, kindly mention those 3 groundbreaking albums. Maybe I'd like to hear the albums, which is the aotys according to you😘

OT: Can someone talk about So Long, London's lyrical content? Why is no one even talking about it.

mmmmm parts were giving me Beautiful Ghosts vibes, other parts reminded me of the dentist's drill in the second verse of Look What You Made Me Do. It's very varied.

Actually... those drums in the first verse of My Boy are giving one of the singles from Lordie's debut album (heroin with the e tease). I can't remember which one, but I think it was a hit

I don't understand how she does the 2 piece combo with the soda with Folklore/Evermore and then retreads this much.

The worsts of Midnights. Very monotone whereas the previous album had highlights and more experimental tracks. This just feels very copy/paste. Some may say even plagiarized. :-x

I know there are people who hate when she writes about the negative parts of her fame, and pull the 'ShE's PLAyiNg The ViCTim!!!' card, but Who's Afraid of Little Old Me is SO good and I feel for her :jonny:

you can interpret it some other way as well

I Can Fix Him and loml are the only true PUNCHes so far. Florida!!! is right there behind them, I think.

Then I was really pissed off when I Can Do It With a Broken Heart followed them cause wtf.

Anyway, what irks me a bit is she's kind of like continuously morphing into a Lana-vibe but just never really taking it all the way there. Vocally, experimentally, nothing. It's just a shadow-sound that's good enough but it's like damn girl. Just go full Lana and really serve if that's what we're doing.

Also she has the same melody/tone of singing with so many songs in the last few albums. They're becoming hard to decipher.

Yeah, it's giving an amicable break up

Hmmm idk about this one?

I like the production and direction overall but the songs are meh, first listen standouts are fortnight and Florida. Maybe it'll take a few more listens?

Also, I don't feel the album tells a story, it's like a bunch of randomly recorded songs with a bunch of exclusive tracks for people who buy 100000 copies of the album.
