(i'm on mobile but pretend i just copied that gif here) nnnn I put it in there for you It has a distinctive and melodically pleasing chorus, something the iHeart programmers crave more than anything (I fear it's much stronger than Fortnight's) This is the woman who sent "WANEGBT" to radio... she's fearless.mp3 with single title choices 1

The lyrics are great (as always) but it drags sonically. I mean, kindly mention those 3 groundbreaking albums. Maybe I'd like to hear the albums, which is the aotys according to you😘

Folklore, those who listen what do you describe the sound to mmmmm parts were giving me Beautiful Ghosts vibes, other parts reminded me of the dentist's drill in the second verse of Look What You Made Me Do. It's very varied. 2

wastedpotential Posted April 18 Posted April 18 (edited) Actually... those drums in the first verse of My Boy are giving one of the singles from Lordie's debut album (heroin with the e tease). I can't remember which one, but I think it was a hit Edited April 18 by wastedpotential
georgechxng Posted April 18 Posted April 18 the way "but daddy, i love him" is prob an allegory abt her pr team begging her to drop matty
Wicked Posted April 18 Posted April 18 I don't understand how she does the 2 piece combo with the soda with Folklore/Evermore and then retreads this much. 2

Very monotone whereas the previous album had highlights and more experimental tracks. This just feels very copy/paste. Some may say even plagiarized. 3 1 1 3 3

Rico Shameless v2 Posted April 18 Posted April 18 I Can Fix Him and loml are the only true PUNCHes so far. Florida!!! is right there behind them, I think. Then I was really pissed off when I Can Do It With a Broken Heart followed them cause wtf. Anyway, what irks me a bit is she's kind of like continuously morphing into a Lana-vibe but just never really taking it all the way there. Vocally, experimentally, nothing. It's just a shadow-sound that's good enough but it's like damn girl. Just go full Lana and really serve if that's what we're doing. Also she has the same melody/tone of singing with so many songs in the last few albums. They're becoming hard to decipher.
Magickarp Posted April 18 Posted April 18 "So long London. You'll find someone." Yeah, it's giving an amicable break up
Simple Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Hmmm idk about this one? I like the production and direction overall but the songs are meh, first listen standouts are fortnight and Florida. Maybe it'll take a few more listens? Also, I don't feel the album tells a story, it's like a bunch of randomly recorded songs with a bunch of exclusive tracks for people who buy 100000 copies of the album. 1 4
