Is it me that I missed the "chairman of the torture poets department" song? :rip:

Oh wait. This is kinda good.

Maybe y'all need to smoke a lil sumn before. Cause the synths are hitting.

For those who just listened to Cowboy Carter the ambience is like listening to an album full of II Hands To Heavens (minus all the vocal work).

So Long, London would have been a great album opener

If you love MIDnights, which is difficult to do, not everyone can swallow that, you will like PTSD.

this filled the deep void between COCC and Solar Power, sis :chick3:

As good as MIDnights…BUT it's also the final piece of the quiet and folky Antonoff trinity?

Maybe Rep is getting dethroned as my #1 :chick2:

I think swifties will be happy at least. As someone who could never get into her, Fresh Out The Slammer will be the first Taylor swift song I add to my library.

If I pretend the album started at So Long London, then this is her first album I've liked :bird:

If you like FOTS, what's stopping you to like Call It What You Want?

I actually enjoy the title track a lot, the pre and the chorus are heavenly.

This is just not hitting but I'll wait until I  have the lyrics in front of me to listen again since her songs always hit different when you listen while reading the lyrics!

Sonically, after one listen, it's not very interesting. It sounds been-there done-that, nothing new….. It all sounds very JACK ANTURNOFFIED!

Except the melody. :ryan3:

Well she retconned ITWAM to Fearless and they share the same melody in the beginning

Wait is Guilty As Sin about her sexting Matty, while with Joe.

Or Travis, while with Matty?

cuz lyrically, & from the track position, it's giving the latter.

Travis said on the podcast in July he wanted to give Taylor a bracelet, and her and Matty were broken up by then

That's just the ambience. The quality of the songs are variable, but if you're just chillin it's a pleasant relaxing listen.

Oh what if I roll the stone away?/they're gonna crucify me anyway/what if the way you hold me is actually what's holy?

If long suffering propriety is what they want from me?/They don't know how you've haunted me so stunningly/I choose you and me, religiously!
