Got me disappointed ngl, it was so instant for me.

same for me. it was more memorable than the first 3 tracks but it's aged quite fast :suburban:

if she wants to pick a winter single just for Grammys, so long London would make sense.

Here for this… she can release an orchestral rendition and Enya version

She released the album to move from that part of her life. I think she released so quickly and not after the TVs were completed is because of her relationship with Travis.

Yeah it was now or never it seems. Their relationship is moving full throttle  :oh: and the longer she held ttpd material, the less it would make sense to release it because it's so personal and vivid. The fact that she snuck in 2 songs about him, her album release post closing the door on the chapter and that fortnight challenge montage being the only thing in color this era...it's very much intentional.

Down Bad is the worst of the first 4 tracks:suburban:thought that on first listen, still think that now:suburban:It would fit more on MID :gaycat5:

- "The Black Dog"

- "Peter"

- "The Bolter"

I know for most of us, we haven't been able touch any other music since ttpd came out but for me, I didn't touch any other Taylor music either. :deadbanana2: First time this happens to me, I generally sprinkle a couple of classics with new releases but TTPD is holding me hostage.

Not this meme rising from the dead. I remember when some Spanish tabloid started it last year. :deadbanana2: Is it the Aston Martin line?

I know some people here have thoughts about him, I too have my issues every now and then, but I actually think this is a well argued video from him this morning

I know ppl here will downvote this video but he made a lot of points especially in regards to some of the songs on this record being overwritten (sometimes less is more and her best lyrics are ''simple'' but super effective for example ATW, Begin Again etc)
And like he said there is a middle ground, critics definitely went way overboard with the hate but doesnt mean that EVERYTHING they said is false

and i like TTPD but it isnt perfect imo

The point of this album continues to go over people's heads.

These are long poems set to music. There is no need to edit them. This album was never said to be anything other than the words of a "tortured poet". If people don't understand how poems are constructed, then whatever.

If she released these songs as a poem book instead, everyone would be gagged.

Robin is my least fav on the album and it's still a 10/10.
