The rollout of 'RED' was insane. Imagine being gobsmacked by her dropping "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" as the lead, and then her releasing "Begin Again", "I Knew You Were Trouble", "Red" and "State Of Grace" in the 4 weeks leading up to the album.

When will 2024 Taylor?

The vinyl started to sale on stores in the UK. Indie store I’m ordering from got the frosted white and the clear one (indie exclusive in Europe). No other colors.

Remembering how Good Morning America would air 30 seconds of each song shortly before it dropped, creating mass hysteria. Ugh, the iTunes promo single era was unmatched

Midnights definitely did not have great singles lets be real now. Anti-Hero was a great lead-single choice (and the obvious "hit" on the album), however Karma (feat. Ice Spice) and Lavender Haze were poor single choices.

Should've gone with Anti-Hero > Maroon > Midnight Rain

Maroon is the best song on the album for me, however I don't think it's even a good choice for a single, Lavender Haze is much better as a pop smash. Karma was also an obvious single worthy material. Midnight Rain was the only thing she overlooked.
So basically, Midnights indeed had good singles, idk what you're talking about.

It's crazy to think all of these are from one era. Let's not forget '22', this song had me on chokehold and whole tumblr too

Yeah the Red era pre-release singles were perfect. I wish we could have one more era with weekly promo singles. She could easily score a lot of #1s

When for TS12 she record a love album and decide to give pre-release singles a chance, then pick for the lead the most glitter gel pen song ever, take all the possible hate for being cringe and decide to never ever in her life do pre-release singles again
I actually want her to make both TTPD and TS12 an albums with no leads and then for TS13 do the most classic era with pre-release singles as if we're back in 2010's

I remember this, as soon as I heard the opening inverted guitar loop to WANEGBT on that livestream I knew she meant business had decided to go more pop and it was global domination time

Nostalgia is truly something else :dies:

Listen to Dancing Crazy by Miranda Cosgrove (2010) and Smile by Avril Lavigne (2011)

THEN listen to WANEGBT, 22 and Trouble

And this is coming from a How You Get the Gay (Taylor's V) stan!

I'd like another traditional rollout if it was Red-like.

Just give me folklore/evermore or Red rollouts and we're all good.

Would be a landslide if Debut didn't exist. As is, 1989 just has the best by a small margin.

Red singles run is also amazing.

nnn you say this but she messed up big time by not pushing Scripture to Learn or Should've Prayed No to pop radio after Our Song finished :gaycat4:

Plus, I know timing was tight with Change and Love Story around the corner but Mary's Song deserved to be pushed :gaycat4:

Isn't it wild that 22 was such a huge cultural phenomenon that is STILL being referenced to this day, but only peaked at #20 on Billboard Hot 100

Goes to show that charts isn't everything!

No matter what she did with radio, TM/TOMG/OS/PTB/SSN is a single run for the ages. :gaycat4:

If we're talking about missing singles, Mary's Song and Cold As You would have been fantastic choices too. Too bad the real blockbuster was right around the corner.

Yes, 22 is a classic. Enchanted and Don't Blame Me are also a very good indication that chart success isn't everything.
